day121.

  • People I saw: Holy cow like everyone. Just kidding but it seemed like it.
  • Things I did: I went to work this morning! Around noon ish I met Shalem at Frost Top for lunch. We got grilled cheese baby. I went back to work for a couple hours until about 2:30. I had to meet my boss over at the Ridge Townhome Association clubhouse because apparently it's my job to be "the voice" on their answering machine. The phone just picks up messages, no one is ever there to answer it, so if you're ever lonely and miss my voice just dial 435-628-6104. Hahaha. Then I had to rush home to babysit Connor while Kirsten took Parker to the doctor. Poor little boy is sick with a cold, but he it makes him even more adorable (if that's possible). As soon as Kirst brought my car back home, I went and picked up Sam Jamison. We made 7 boxes of chocolate pudding in huge bowls at my house (that's 42 servings!) and we took it to Mathis Park. A bunch of other people in our ward brought other food like spaghetti, mashed potatoes, eggs, cottage cheese, frozen peas, macaroni, cake mix, chocolate syrup, ketchup, popcorn, who knows what else. We had a food fight, and it smelled really gross. Good thing the only thing I got in my mouth was the cake mix! Luckily that park is right by the river so we went and rinsed off in that. Then a bunch of us headed over to Carson Ence's house where a couple other wards were having FHE, so there were a lot of people there. We hot tubbed, swam in the pool, played volleyball, etc. It was a super fun night!!!!! I got lots of pics at the food fight, but none at the pool party unfortunately. I want to write down all who I remember being there but.. I won't.
AND OH MY GOSH so if you read about the demon spider in my room last night.. well tonight I walk into my room and I see the exact same thing happen, only this time I saw the spider crawl under my quilt. Since I knew it was still on my bed I could not just let it go. So I lifted up the blanket and it fell to the ground. I still had a paper towel in my room from last night just in case, so I used it to smash the thing and threw it in the trash. It freaking better be dead in there. And it had better been the only one in my room.
  • Something I learned: We shouldn't be stressed out, nervous, or scared about the bad things in our lives. It's the unknown we should be afraid of. If something bad is happening in your life and you know exactly how it's going to turn out or how it's going to change your life, why be scared of it? You should be scared of the things you don't know. Thanks Sam Jamison for the great conversation we had so you could teach me this :)
  • Something I appreciated: How cool some people are. It's really great when people are just nice and genuine and you don't have to walk on eggshells around them.

day120.

  • People I saw: Sarah, and everyone in my ward.
  • Things I did: Sarah's in town, so she went to my single's ward with me. I swear my ward is so awesome I feel like it's not fair how good church is every Sunday. Then I went home and made spaghetti with my family. Soon after that, Sarah came over again and we went to ward prayer together. Which was also awesome because everyone is so funny. And let me tell you, we have plans beyond plans for awesomeness for this summer. If you're not involved in them, get involved. Because you gotta. Don't worry Mike, you're invited to all the awesomeness. Oh by the way, sometime earlier today I saw a scary brown spider crawl as fast as a cheetah down the middle of my bed to the foot of my bed and disappear. So now I'm lying under my covers terrified because I don't know where it is or what it's capable of.

  • Something I learned: There is always hope. Allow me to share an excerpt from a talk that someone referred to in church today by John Groberg years ago:
    • "Just as discouragement and depression feed on themselves (can't you just hear Satan saying, 'You can't do it, you are no good, you'll never make it'--sometimes he says that right to your heart, and sometimes he uses others as his agents), so does hope regenerate itself. Can't you likewise hear the Savior saying, 'You can do it, you can make it, you are worth something. I laid down my life for you. I love you. I redeemed you. I paid for you because I know you can make it. You can come home. Trust me. Follow me.' Again, sometimes he speaks directly to our hearts and sometimes uses others as his agents. But there is always hope in him."
  • Something I appreciated: My ability to swallow my pride even when it's the last thing I want to do.
  • Song you should listen to:

day119.

  • People I saw: Reuel, Chase, Ben Wing.
  • Things I did: I had to go through all my math homework for the whole last section so I could be ready to take my math test, cause I missed the last week of classes. And also, the week before that when I was in math, I fell asleep and drooled on my notebook, so... Anyway. I went and took my test (where I saw Reuel) then immediately left for Cedar City. I wanted to hang out with Chase before he moves back to Provo for the Summer. It was a nice day. We went to Lin's and got some fried chicken and potato salad, then went and ate it at a cute park that my family used to go to a lot. We watched a documentary on the person who does the voice for Elmo on Netflix. And that night we went to his friend's comedy show at SUU. It was pretty funny. I got back to St. George around midnight, then Ben Wing came to visit me because he was in town for the weekend and I hadn't seen him since we graduated high school together 3 years ago! So that was pretty great. We sat in the basement talking for a bit, then we drove up the street to Shadow Mountain Park and played guitar for each other.
  • Something I learned: The person who does the voice for Elmo is a black guy! Who knew?
  • Something I appreciated: Good talks with old friends.
  • Song you should listen to:

day118.

  • People I saw: Strangers. Some attractive ones.
  • Things I did: The cruise was over! We woke up, ate breakfast, and got off the ship. Kirsten, Ben, Connor, and Parker all took a car to visit Ben's family who live in California. The rest of us headed to Las Vegas. We stopped at the Fashion Show Mall for just an hour or two, mostly to go to the giant Forever 21. I got some earrings, a headband, and a necklace that says "hope". There happened to be a fashion show going on while we were there too! As soon as we got home it was kinda late, but I stayed up and edited most of the pictures from our trip and uploaded them. That was my day! Oh except every time I stood up I felt dizzy and couldn't walk completely straight. And even lying in my bed I felt like I was still moving on a boat. I almost went insane.
  • Something I learned: A few people actually missed me while I was gone!
  • Something I appreciated: My smart phone. It makes road trips so much faster.
  • Song you should listen to:

day117.

  • People I saw: Just more strangers.
  • Things I did: This was the day that the cruise ship just went out to sea the whole day without stopping anywhere. That meant everyone was on the boat, so there were people everywhere. I slept a lot of the afternoon cause I was just so exhausted.. you know, from eating and stuff. Because we were out on the ship all day, there were lots of waves, therefore we were rocking back and forth a lot. My sister got motion sickness. I did a little too, but not enough to make me throw up or anything. I was just a little uncomfortable. I tried tanning some more, but really I'm still white as a piece of white paper. That night, my sisters and I got some really cute watches and necklaces. In the main part of the ship, there's an atrium where you can see 4-5 floors at once, and at the bottom there's a bar with a grand piano next to it. Well, the day before I'd made my mom ask the guy playing the piano if they ever let anyone play it and he said no. But today some guy was playing a little song so I went down and asked if they said he could. He said nope, he'd just sat down and started playing. So I sat down and played my Chopin piece and I got applause and it was awesome! Way weird to play on a swaying boat though.
  • Something I learned: Well, in all honesty, the two people I thought of the most while I was on this vacation are Chase and Jon. I don't even know why, it's just how it is!
  • Something I appreciated: Our awesome waiters.
  • Song you should listen to:

day116.

  • People I saw: Jesse and a bunch of Mexicans.
  • Things I did: We ate breakfast outside on the ship before getting off to see the city of Ensenada, Mexico. There was lots of trash on the coast as we walked along the docks, pretty sad. I also saw a lot of poor kids, which made me feel spoiled.. which I already knew I was. I did get a sombrero and a backpack from the little shops. Because we were in a place with so much tourist traffic, most of the locals spoke pretty good English, which was a little disappointing. I did, however, get one of them to speak to me in Spanish for a few sentences just for practice. I even took a picture with a random hot guy. There were a bunch of seals on the beach by the ship. They are the weirdest animals that make the weirdest noises! Back on the ship I wandered around again. I went back to that dance club, only this time one of the guys started talking to me, asking where my husband or boyfriend was or something. When I told him I was alone he said he'd dance with me if a song I liked came on. So I danced with him! And he was completely respectful and sweet. He then offered to buy me a drink, which I politely declined. After that I stopped at random rooms to catch glimpses of karaoke and a hypnotist.
  • Something I learned: I have seen more people dirty dancing at dance parties in Utah then on a ship full of drunk people. Actually I didn't see any dirty dancing at all on the ship.
  • Something I appreciated: Utah and the U.S.
  • Song you should listen to:

day115.

  • People I saw: A bunch of strangers?
  • Things I did: First thing we did was go to the breakfast buffet of course. Oh man bacon and chocolate milk every day. As soon as everyone was ready, we got on a smaller boat to take us to the shore of Catalina Island! We looked around in a bunch of shops and stuff deciding what to do. I got a tank top that says Catalina. I really really wanted to go parasailing but that didn't happen. Maybe next time. But it's okay cause my mom and I got to rent some electric bikes to ride around! It was super fun. I was just so excited to explore, and it was nice to spend that time with my mom. I did ride around up some hills by myself too. I couldn't go all the way, cause even though the bikes are electric they are still hard to ride uphill cause you have to pedal! I hope you like the picture I took cause I put my camera on a tree stump, set the timer for 30 seconds, and ran down the hill to get it. I also found some cool people around the corner and talked to them a bit while they took another pic of me. Back at the ship, my sisters and I talked to a few boys but they were drinking and stuff so we didn't follow them to the pool. That night was formal night, so we all got dressed up and went to a comedy show. Dinner was amazing because we got lobster and ribs and stuff! They wanted all the couples to dance, so while my parents were dancing and Ben and Kirsten were dancing, I stood up holding Parker to dance. Des danced with Connor, and Tasha danced with our waiter. After dinner, my sisters went to a club for people their age and everyone else did who knows what, so I got to explore alone. I got some hot chocolate and went to the top of the ship where it was dark and cold and empty. It's eerie looking at the ocean at night! I got bored so I went and sat in a dance club and watched people dance. I also stamped someone this day. It was kind of awkward.
  • Something I learned: The "real world" is everywhere. I'm really sick of people in and out of Utah always talking about it as if it's the only place on Earth that isn't the "real world". What is the real world anyway? Just get over yourselves people.
  • Something I appreciated: My weirdness.
  • Scripture: Mosiah 8: 16, 18, 20.
  • Song you should listen to:

day114.

As promised, these are my blog posts from my cruise. I'm editing the posting date so that they all say that day's date at the top. I took slightly good notes.

  • People I saw: Adnyana, Jerome.
  • Things I did: My family and I woke up super early and left the house by 6:30 a.m. for California. Just so you know, the strawberry banana smoothies at McDonald's are the best flavor. We got on our cruise ship and got situated in our rooms. That night we watched the Welcome Aboard show. Dinner was amazing! I love cruises. You get to order as much food as you want! Our waiters were amazing, Adnyana and I Komang.
  • Something I learned: I can eat a lot when I'm not hungry.
  • Something I appreciated: My overwhelming sense of self-awareness.
  • Scripture (yes I did read every night on the cruise!): Mosiah 7: 18, 19, 25, 29, 30, 33.
  • Song you should listen to:

Sunday, April 22, 2012

day113.

  • People I saw: People in my ward.
  • Things I did: I woke up and made myself some eggs, bacon, and toast. While my family was at church, I got ready and picked out a bunch of clothes and stuff for our cruise. I went to ward choir practice because we sang in Sacrament meeting today, and also I played the piano for the hymns. During Sunday school for no good reason I started feeling crappy so I left when that meeting was over and came home. The rest of the day I napped, packed some more, painted my nails, played with my nephews, Skyped with Jon, and talked with my family. I am now making playlists for the drive tomorrow.
  • Something I learned: I don't know why, but for some reason, the good things coming into my life lately don't stay there very long. Like when I met Matt, and thought he was awesome and perfect and beautiful, that made me happier than I thought I could be at that point. But not even a month or two goes by and we aren't even talking anymore. There are a couple other guys I've liked since then and the situation is always something similar. Kelsey is married. It's not like she's not in my life anymore, it's just that we only started being close friends a year ago and now things won't be the same. And the most recent one is Chase. I met him less than a month ago, and he's already produced two songs for me. He helped me find a reason to like something about myself and he gave me the chance to do what I love. But he's moving to Provo very soon and so I won't have that anymore. I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't know why these good things have to keep happening to me if they're just going to be gone soon. It's like I get to learn about all these awesome things that my life has been missing, only to have them leave so I now have to live my life knowing what I'm missing. This is a cruel way for me to be learning patience... On a side note, I keep forgetting to take pictures until I'm in bed. That's why they're dark and ugly. Also, I'm leaving at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow, and I won't be back til Friday. I won't have a computer or internet, so I obviously can't blog. But I'll take notes and when I get back, I'll make an individual post for each day!
  • Something I appreciated: Skyping with Jon was nice. He's really great. And Ty called me tonight asking why I wasn't at ward prayer, so I guess that made me feel missed. And someone else called me to apologize for something. If you're reading this, thank you again. I really did appreciate it. Also, Jeremy Phelps occasionally sends me weird random texts that make me smile. Like today: "I love you ash! I love your beauty and your voice and your ability to act in life and do what you really want to do, and I love to tease you about stuff when I'm around you..." etc. And last but not least, Kelsey just barely messaged me on Facebook (back from her Honeymoon) the longest message ever that brought me to tears. She just said all the right things. All the right things.

day112.

  • People I saw: Tony, Kylee, Macie, Kiersten, Ciera, Sasha, Ty, Sam Jamison, Jessica, Kyle, Brayden, Slade, Brian, Mike Barker, David, Tyler, Eric, Logan, Lindsey, and a bunch of people who I didn't know.
  • Things I did: I woke up early cause Tony asked me to sub his paper route today. I came home and slept a little before getting up again to get ready. I went to the mall and got a gift card for Kylee on my way to her bridal shower. That was fun seeing some people. I went home and fell asleep yet again, then watched How I Met Your Mother. I left my house a little before 8 to pick up Sam, and we met some people at the Spinny park. Mike came down from Cedar so it was really great to see him. That park was overcrowded, so we went to the Shadow Mountain park instead, and more people showed up. We played volleyball and glow in the dark ultimate frisbee. Around 10 we met at Ty's furniture store. He pulled the big semi truck into the parking lot and put a big white sheet on it. Then everyone pulled up and we watched Remember the Titans in our cars.
  • Something I learned: There are always going to be jerks.
  • Something I appreciated: Cool air at night.
  • Song you should listen to (I really hope I haven't already posted this):

day111.

I'm terribly sorry. Last night I laid on my bed well before midnight, just to relax. I ended up falling asleep with a candle lit, my contacts in, and my makeup on. Gross. But here's yesterdays..stuff.

  • People I saw: Keith, my fellow piano majors, half the RainMaker crew, Gabby, Erika. People in choir, including: Chase Hernandez, Emma Nelson, Amanda White, Daniel, Reuel, Jacob, etc.
  • Things I did: I went to work and Keith was there, so I showed him my Soundcloud page. Then I went to my piano performance class, and played Chopin's Waltz in B minor again. Love that song. I think B minor is one of my favorite keys... but I also love B major. After piano I went home to eat. Then I decided to get my bangs cut by Desi at her hair school, as you can see below. She did a great job! She also painted my fingernails. Then I took the crew their paychecks at 4:30. I had to be at the school by 5:00, so on my way I went to Swig and got a shaved ice. My favorite. It was blue raspberry and orange mango :) So I met the choir in the Eccles parking lot, and we all headed up to Pine Valley. We went to some big beautiful cabin and ate delicious, various foods. They had us sing 8 songs, and it was super fun just being there with everyone in a setting other than choir practice. We got back to town around 9:30, and I gave Chase a ride home. After I turned at an intersection on 1000 E and 100 S, I heard a honk so I looked in my side mirror and saw a person on the ground in front of a big SUV. Then I saw a bike lying next to him. It scared the crap outta me til I saw him jump up and walk to the sidewalk. Phew. I went home and I was gonna go out and do stuff but.. I waited too long to leave my house and fell asleep haha.
  • Something I learned: Love and respect yourself. If someone doesn't treat you like they should, that's their own fault. You deserve the best, so treat yourself like that.
  • Something I appreciated: My voice. I just love to sing. The choir is so fun! I've never taken voice lessons, so I want to try it out this fall!
  • Song you should listen to:

day110.

  • People I saw: I don't remember.
  • Things I did: I woke up and decided I didn't want to go to my morning classes today. So instead, I laid in bed for a couple hours and just relaxed. I also had time to make some good breakfast and curl my hair! I did go to choir. And then I went to work, followed by taking Tasha to and from her piano lesson. I went to Spanish.. and left early. Oh and I posted my new song today. So I'll put the link below. I think Chase is going to add his own vocals under mine, but this is how the song is so far.
  • Something I learned: Relax, everything will work out.
  • Something I appreciated: Backpacks.
  • Song you should listen to (here it is):

Wednesday, April 18, 2012

day109.

  • People I saw: Keith, Ethan Gali, Chase.
  • Things I did: I worked this morning, and had another morning with Keith and a different HOA board. At 1:00 I had choir and my piano lesson like usual. After that I went home to eat and get ready and hang out and watch my favorite person (Conner). Around 6 I left for Cedar yet again to record with Chase. We finished a song tonight and I think I like it! Okay actually only my parts are finished, he's going to add in his own vocals and stuff. But I'll post it on here as soon as it's complete.
  • Something I learned: I can write a new song every week if I want to.. if I had the time, I could probably do even more than that!
  • Something I appreciated: I saw a guy riding his bike today with only one arm. He was doing awesome, but it made me grateful that I have all my limbs.
  • Song you should listen to:

Tuesday, April 17, 2012

day108.

  • People I saw: Probably no one out of the usual.
  • Things I did: Let's see... This morning I had my English presentation. So glad that's over. We got out of class early so I went to McDonald's - which I never do - and got a hash browns thing and a strawberry banana smoothie. So good. Then in math class, Reuel wasn't there to keep me awake so I put my head down on my notebook. I wake up and see that my notebook is wet.. drool. Good thing I wasn't facing anyone. So after that, I met my mom, Ben, Kirsten, and their kids at Costco for lunch. Best pepperoni pizza ever. I let Connor sit on my lap while I was eating, which probably wasn't the best idea because he spilled cold water all over my lap. When I was done with my pizza, I went to choir. After that was a minute at work. Then I came home, finished my Spanish homework, and did some other random stuff. I went and took my Spanish test and found out I have a 97% in the class. Woo! Now I'm at home and it's great.
Oh and. This is how attached Sarah and I are to each other. We'll send each other HeyTells throughout the day, talk on the phone, text, Facebook both on our laptops and on our phones, sometimes chat on Skype, play Draw Something with each other, follow each other on Instagram and Twitter, etc.. it's just all too much haha. Our conversations will carry across from chat to text and so forth. It's great.
  • Something I learned: You can say or do something (negative) to someone and forget all about it within minutes. But no matter how small that thing was, you have no idea how it affected that person and they might carry it with them for weeks or years or the rest of their lives. Be careful what you say to people. Treat them as they are: all children of God.
  • Something I appreciated: My college ward. They really are great.
  • Song you should listen to:

Monday, April 16, 2012

day107.

  • People I saw: Keith, Shalem, Hilea, Derrick, Kyle, Carissa, Kylie, Aaron, Chad, Mason.
  • Things I did: Today I went to work. Keith and I had a meeting at CAM, and soon after a meeting at Ironwood for a walk-through. At one I went to choir like always. When I got home I ate lunch, then Des and I laid out for a while in our backyard. Shalem came over, and I did some Spanish homework and worked on my English presentation while he was here. He left when I left to go to my stake's talent show. About halfway through, me and 5 other people went outside to play volleyball instead. A few random people joined us and we played for about an hour before I left. I came home and did some more work. I don't know if I've ever mentioned this, but my favorite parts of the day are when Connor (2-year-old nephew) comes into my room so excited to see me. Or when I walk in the front door and he is in his high chair where he can't even see me but he says "Hi Ashee! Ashee home!" He's always saying "Ashee room!" cause he likes being in my room. So tonight when he walked in my room in his jammies with his wet hair (because he just took a bath), I couldn't help but take another picture of him. He has my headphones on cause he always wants "song!" And whenever I put them on for him, he starts to dance around. I love him with all of my heart.
  • Something I learned: I let other people influence my decisions way too much.
  • Something I appreciated: Tropicana pink lemonade. Although I don't think I should get too obsessed cause that would defeat the whole purpose of getting off soda...
  • A scripture: Mosiah 5:13&15 -
"13 For how knoweth a man the master whom he has not served, and who is a stranger unto him, and is far from the thoughts and intents of his heart?
15 Therefore, I would that ye should be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works, that Christ, the Lord god Omnipotent, may seal you his, that you may be brought to heaven, that ye may have everlasting salvation and eternal life, through the wisdom, and power, and justice, and mercy of him who created all things, in heaven and in earth, who is God above all. Amen."

day106.

  • People I saw: Family, people at church and ward prayer.
  • Things I did: I woke up after all my family had gone to their ward, so I got up and cleaned up the kitchen and also the downstairs party mess from last night. Then I went to my ward, which was amazing as always. After church I came home and read a little out of a really great book, then I took a short nap. I think I woke up just in time for dinner or something. Tasha and I returned some stuff to our neighbors, then I came home and got ready to go to ward prayer. It was at the bishops house tonight. A few of us afterwards went to someone's house and watched The RM. I've seen that movie several times but I really got something different from it this time.
  • Something I learned: In my life, I've seen the strong get stronger and the weak get weaker. I will always be one of the strong so that I am never one of the weak.
  • Something I appreciated: Cameras. How great is it that we can capture little bits of our lives to look at forever?
  • Song you should listen to:

day105.

  • People I saw: Lots of family, neighbors, and people.
  • Things I did: I woke up and had a nice breakfast with my family for my mom's 50th birthday! She had to go to work, and the second she left, my family immediately started cleaning the house and getting everything ready for the surprise party. I took Connor to Smith's to get some food, then brought it back and made cupcakes and stuff. We finished getting ready by the time my mom got off work, which was around 3. We met her over at Chuck-a-Rama for lunch/dinner. Yess I love eating there. Right after that we went to the mall because my mom loves to shop, and we all got new swimsuits for our cruise! But while my family was still there, I left to pick up a candle from Urban Renewal, and while I was out my mom had me pick up a gift card from Smith's (second time there).  My dad and older sister went home after the mall to make sure everything was good to go, and to let everyone in our house. Des, Gabby, and I kept my mom distracted by taking her to TJ Maxx until it was time to go home. On the way there, we stopped at Smith's to get some milk (third time there in one day). We got home and everyone was hiding in our big basement. To get my mom to go downstairs, Kirsten had to call out saying she needed help with something. My mom was completely surprised! We had lots of family and neighborhood friends there, with lots of food. It was nice. Love you mom.
  • Something I learned: I will just share this scripture that I really like, found in Mosiah chapter 4 verse 30: "But this much I can tell you, that if ye do not watch yourselves, and your thoughts, and your words, and your deeds, and observe the commandments of God, and continue in the faith of what ye have heard concerning the coming of our Lord, even unto the end of your lives, ye must perish. And now, O man, remember, and perish not."
  • Something I appreciated: My beautiful, amazing mother of course. She is so special. The other day I kind of got emotional thinking about my mom going through pregnancy and childbirth so that I could live my life, so I could be alive. She went through all that pain and suffering because she loved me before she even met me.

day104.

  • People I saw: Keith, Shalem, Ty and a bunch of people like Brayden Frehner, Slade Walker, Brian Camp, Jessica Jamison, Jasmine Day, and like 15 other people etc.
  • Things I did: This morning I hit up work, which included a meeting today. Around noon I headed over to the college for my piano performance class in which I performed, and right after that at 1:00 was a music department recital that I also performed in. My parents, Kirsten, and her kids came to listen. Then I ran into Shalem and he reminded me about the Lib 1010 stupid final which I was supposed to take before the 5th.. So I sweet-talked the librarian and she let me take it. 92% people! It was easy but still. Then I went home to take a nap and stuff. Around 5:30 or 6 my family woke me up for dinner and we hung out til Des got home so we could tell my mom what her birthday present is. Her birthday is tomorrow (Saturday) but we had to tell her before she got to work in the morning that we're going on a CRUISE to Mexico as a family in a week! It'll be my first cruise, I'm super excited. So around 10 I met a bunch of people at Ty's dad's furniture store and we played hide and seek in there. So awesome! Then we moved a bunch of the couches around and watched The Lion King 2. I forgot to take a picture until just now so... you get me, in bed, with no makeup in bad lighting!
  • Something I learned: K I'm moving to Provo.
  • Something I appreciated: Good smells.
  • Song you should listen to:

day103.

  • People I saw: Shalem, Reuel, favorite cousin (Tanner), Kelsey, Tyler, all their family, Jostlyn, Marina. It was awesome cause I hadn't met half of Kelsey's siblings til today. Also, Kelsey's aunt April is awesome.
  • Things I did: I went to my English and Math classes, but I skipped choir so that I could be outside the temple when Kelsey and Tyler came out. That's right, they got marriaged today!! So as soon as we were done taking pictures, we went to the park for a Cafe Rio luncheon. They had Dr. Pepper there and it looked so yummy, but I'm 18 days strong without soda! So I left and went to the office for a bit before going home to shower and look better. I also practiced the piano in the church for about an hour. Then my mom, dad, and I drove to Kanab for Kelsey's wedding reception! It was so lovely. I'm so happy for those two. They really do deserve each other because they're both so amazing. Kelsey has been the best friend to me through some of the hardest times of my life, and she really changed it. I haven't known Tyler as long but he was there for me as a close friend pretty much the week I met him. Thanks you guys.
  • Something I learned: Sometimes you have to do things because it's what you want to do.
  • Something I appreciated: Kelsey and Tyler getting married in the temple!

day102.

  • People I saw: Gabby and her mom, Grandma and Jack, Mike Barker, Brant Parker, and Chase Cee.
  • Things I did: I went to work, then met with my mom, Desi, Gabby and her mom for lunch at Kneader's. My mom and I went to Urban Renewal after (favorite store!) and I got a skirt. Then I went to choir and had my piano lesson, which was way good. Then I picked up some stuff from my mom at her work. After that it was time to leave for Cedar! I stopped at the Maverik on Boulevard on my way out of town, and decided to get the Tropicana Pink Lemonade I'd found in Laverkin. And guess what, it's just as amazing. So I got to Cedar and visited my grandma again first thing, making sure to play a few songs for her on the piano. Mike then let me visit him at work again for a bit. Around 6:15 pm I went to meet a new friend named Brant.. and I also met a couple of his friends. That was fun and he's super cute. So at about 7:00 I headed over to Chase's and we went to Chili's together. My crispy shrimp tacos were DELICIOUS and our waiter was freakin awesome and totally played against my back-talking. At Chase's house after, we worked on a few songs and watched some episodes of How I Met Your Mother. Then I came home and Heytelled with Sarah and Seth and Mike!
  • Something I learned: I have to make a really hard decision very soon...
  • Something I appreciated: I saw a rainbow today.
  • Song you should listen to (why aren't you mine, Sufjan):
