day152.

  • People I saw: Earl and the neighbors.. .....
  • Things I did: I had an orthodontist appointment this morning just to make sure my retainer is doing its job. Good news: my teeth are still just fine. I dropped off Tasha at Desi's hair school, then my mom at her work, then I went to work myself of course. Afterwards I went with my dad to pick up my mom's car at ze shop. I got to babysit Connor today while Kirsten was at a recital and Ben was at work and that kid is so much fun. I love to get him laughing uncontrollably. He'll stand on the coffee table in the living room while someone sits on the couch, and then jump into their arms. Today I got him to turn around and stand with his back to me and fall backwards. He now trusts me completely I tell you! But it was so funny watching him turn his head all nervously the first couple times, laughing all the while. That kid. I'm sorry to anyone who doesn't have him or someone like him in their life. Tonight we did CrossFit total and I'll let you know if I'm any stronger the next time I do it. Which I should be. After working out, Krave sounded super good so we all went there. Now I'm in bed, and Oreo is in here too tonight. My cat.
  • Something I learned: I have a lot more power in people's lives than I thought. I mean that in a good way, not in any sort of take-advantage way.
  • Something I appreciated: Trust.

day151.

  • People I saw: Carlos Morgan, Kristi Merrill, Allyson, Jostlyn.
  • Things I did: Before work I went to the splash pad or whatever in town with my mom, Kirsten, Tasha, Connor, and Parker. The boys are so cute playing in the water. Soon after getting to work, I got some Honolulu Grill and ate it with Jostlyn at her work across the street. We talked a good long while about people and just crazy things that happen.. seriously people, you amaze me. I don't understand you. After work I went with Kirsten, Tasha, Connor, and Parker to the dollar store, Big Lots, Walmart, and Costco so we could buy a bunch of crafty things for Kirsten. It was an entertaining little outing. Back home I got ready and went to my first Institute class. I'm pretty excited for it.
  • Something I learned: "If we live in such a way that the considerations of eternity press upon us, we will make better decisions." I also learned that choosing someone to marry is the most important decision you will ever make. You are going to be with that person FOREVER!
  • Something I appreciated: Air conditioning. Freaking St. George.
  • Song you should listen to:
Love my heart sunglasses!

day150.

  • People I saw: Jacob Pohlsander and his girlfriend Mindy, and Allyson.
  • Things I did: First thing I really did today was go to the Hope Chest with my mom, Kirsten, Tasha, Connor, and Parker. I bought two skirts, two cardigans, and a weird banjo statue thing... yeah I don't know I'm weird. I worked 4 hours then met all those people minus Tasha at Vintage Garden. We also went to Urban Renewal, my favorite store, and I got a new white dress. Maybe I'll wear it tomorrow. It's quite lovely! So tonight I did CrossFit for the first time in like 5 days cause I was in Provo being lazy for so long, and man it sucks but feels so good. I pulled two bugs out of my mouth during my workout.. gross. I seriously wonder how many bugs I eat while I'm asleep. I mean, if they're flying into my mouth while I'm awake, who knows?!
  • Something I learned: There will always always always be people who discourage you. DON'T listen to them!
  • Something I appreciated: My new guitar. Yay.
  • Song you should listen to: Me playing a chill boring song for no good reason.
One of the skirts I bought at the Hope Chest.

Shalem sent me this of himself yesterday and I just think it's funny. He's in Michigan for the summer doing installs or something, and sometimes no sales happen.

My sister Kirsten took this yesterday but I just didn't upload it yesterday. Woops sorry. Meet Molly.

day145,146,147,148,149.

So normally I'd make a different post for each day that I've neglected to post for, but honestly I don't feel like it so one post is going to cover every day since Thursday, and it isn't going to be in my usual format either.
So Thursday after work I left St. George for Provo. I stopped in Enoch to see Nick Schulthies on my way through, and we just talked outside for a bit. I got to Provo and Sarah didn't text me back so I surprised Chase at his house instead. His friend Tyson came over to jam while I just kinda listened and stuff until Karsen Yack texted me saying he was off work. I then went to hang out with him. We met my freshman year at BYU. We got some Sonic, then drove around talking and such. That's pretty much day 1 of Provo.
Friday morning I saw Corbin Earl, a guy from one of my old single's wards, before he went to work. Then I met David Oliver at Wingshak for lunch, where he bought me some awesome pineapple BBQ wings. He's this guy who came into Best in Music when I worked there and bought a harmonica just so he could talk to me, or so he said. That's how I know him. We went to his apartment and played his guitar to see if I liked it, then visited the Great Salt Lake Guitar Co. to look at some more Canadian guitars and such. He dropped me off at my car and I went to the Best in Music in the basement of Summerhays where Brian Patchett, my old coworker, was working. He manages that store and he's super talented and knowledgeable so I trusted his advice and opinion. He gave me a $50 ish discount on a mahogany Fender acoustic-electric and I absolutely love it. I then drove to Ben Wing's apartment (a friend from high school) to pick him up and go to Color Me Mine. It's this cute little place where you pick out some piece of something and paint it, so we painted a plate then went to get food at Rancherito's. I dropped him off and met Chad Rhoades at Seven Peaks Arena and we ice skated for about an hour and a half. We met at EFY in 2005. Man I love Chad and I wish I could've spent a lot more time with him. Around 9 I drove to Spencer Wells's apartment and we just talked for about an hour. I drove to Chase's house again and we watched some episodes of this really dumb show.
So today. I met Dillon Moffitt at Zupas around 1:00 and he bought me some lunch. I had a social dance class with him at BYU once. After that we saw the Avenger's (which we'd both already seen but it's so awesome) and he dropped me off at my car. I then visited Steven Squire, a guy I kinda dated last summer, at his apartment. We jammed out on my new guitar and talked. I left and went to David Mihok's. He and I were in a band together briefly last year. We also just talked and stuff, and he went with me to the mall so I could buy some lip gloss and nail polish. Yay just like old times.
So then I headed to Amanda's parent's house in Highland. It's so beautiful up there and everyone's house is huge. Rebecca came too and we spent the night. The next day we went to Devin's farewell (Amanda's brother) then came back and ate a bunch of food and such. I stayed there til a little after 8 pm, then I left to go visit Chad again at his house in PG. I just really wanted to see him. We watched this sweet movie from the 80s with Arnold Schwarzenegger in it then I left. I went to Seth Campbell's apartment because Brandon Johnson was there, so I saw him for like 5 seconds. Then I finally got back to my old apartment where Rebecca was to relax. Except I got up to Kelsey's old room to sleep and there was a huge demon bug on the ceiling so I made Brandon come over to kill it for me. He stayed and cuddled with me til I fell asleep then went home. It was definitely a great weekend for cuddling.
Today I woke up, got ready, and left Provo. I met my family in Beaver to visit some graves for Memorial Day, then went to Cedar to visit my grandma and such.
I really could go into a lot more detail and make a post for each day about this length, but like I said earlier, I don't feel like it. Let's just say the weekend was fun but super crazy and it was too hard trying to see all these different people in such a short amount of time. I visited a total of 16 different friends, including going on 6 dates. Everyone should just come visit me from now on cause I'm exhausted.
I learned a lot about who's worth my time and who's not. I'm 100% done trying to do things for people and be a good friend to people who don't make any effort to be the same for me.
Big things are happening for this girl though. And I won't let anyone or anything treat me less than I'm worth.

day144.

  • People I saw: Allyson, Osiel and the crew, and just a bunch of people. And my grandparents.
  • Things I did: I woke up way too early this morning to try to donate plasma, and of course I didn't pass, but I was secretly glad cause that meant I got to come back home and hang out with bed for a bit. Before work, I went to Christensen's to try on a bunch of dresses cause Desi didn't have one for graduation yet and I was trying to help out. I'm also on a desperate lookout to replace these sandal thingies I wear all the time because they're so worn out on the bottoms, but no luck yet. Work was nice. Allyson and I drove around a couple of the HOA's inspecting things and had a good long talk about stupid guys and stuff. After work I went to the college for the Snow Canyon High School graduation. I seriously can't believe it's been three years since I did that. Holy cow. Anyway, my family including my dad's dad and his wife all went to Chuck-a-Rama for dinner and it was beyond crowded with a busload of old people. But as I was sitting at the table across from my grandparents and sitting by my mom and just looking around at everyone, I had one of those brief moments where you almost want to cry because you just realize how awesome it is that you have a family full of so much love and support for each other. I was just so happy. Tonight, my mom, Kirsten and I went to work out again at the neighbor's. Hopefully I start feeling some difference soon. I actually think I already am a tiny bit.
  • Something I learned: There is no way you can even imagine what the future will be like. It's never how you expect. Except this weekend. If anyone messes up my intricately planned schedule, I will beat them up.
  • Something I appreciated: Being able to be the person that someone can talk to.
  • Song you should listen to:

day143.

  • People I saw: Allyson, Keith, Sam Pace, family.
  • Things I did: I used our juicer for the first time to make myself a wonderful glass of fruit juice this morning! I felt so healthy. I dropped off my dogs at the groomer's then went home to get ready for the day. I dropped off something at the post office to be sent to Illinois for Kelsey :) Then it was time for work until 4. After that I came home and nearly finished two songs and stuff. I also went out to Sam's house today to visit with him before he yet again moves to another town. At 9 I went to my cousin Shaydon's house again to be there while he got set apart as an LDS missionary. Go Shaydon! He will be in the Provo MTC tomorrow, and after that it's off to Ecuador! I'm so proud.
  • Something I learned: Some people are huge wimps.
  • Something I appreciated: Scriptures:
  • Mosiah 14:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
  • Song you should listen to:
We recently started leasing out a part of our suite to some new people. One of the rooms they're in has the A/C controls, and for some reason they make it so freezing that I have to put this on.

day142.

  • People I saw: Keith, Jostlyn, lots of family again, neighbors again, and... Jeremy.
  • Things I did: Work, cousin's open house for his mission, worked out.
  • Something I learned: You always have a choice.
  • Something I appreciated: "I forgive you." The most beautiful words I've been waiting so long to hear.
  • Song you should listen to:
Kelsey had this sent to me :) I love it so so much. Clock necklace! Maybe 3:00 will be a lucky time for me one of these days... or is it 12:15??

day141.

  • People I saw: All my wonderful cousins and family, Ethan Killian, Dan, and his friends and sister.
  • Things I did: This morning while I was getting ready for church, my 2 year old nephew Connor managed to find my keys in my purse, go out the front door, get in my car, and lock himself in. He started my car 5 times before we finally got him to unlock the door. Sheesh. My family and I went to Ivins to go to my cousin Shaydon's missionary farewell. He gave a great talk! Afterward, we went to his house with everyone for yummy breakfast burritos and other yummy foods. Around 1:30 I took Jostlyn's phone to her house (she left it in my car last night, oops!) and I also left a brownie for her :) Then it was time to head up to Modena! I don't remember if I've ever gone up that highway past Enterprise, but it is such a beautiful drive and I really enjoyed it. I met Ethan and everyone there and we went up a canyon to set up their camp. They all came from further than me, so they've been camping out this weekend. We hiked around on some really cool rocks that I didn't really take many pictures of, then we ate some spaghetti and cheesy bread and my brownies. When it was time, we headed to a cool spot on a hill to watch the eclipse/sunset and take a few pictures. It was fun seeing Ethan and Dan and meeting all those cute girls. And of course it was cool seeing the solar eclipse and the perfect ring of fire. I wish the light outside was like that all the time. As soon as the sun went down I drove home. Along Utah 56 there were a bunch of cars pulled over at different places with cameras set up. I honked and waved at 3 different groups of people, and after the first people jumped and waved back I giggled and got so tickled over that for some reason. I just love the connection people have!
  • Something I learned: Words are so inefficient. Some are overused, some are underused. I wish some strong words were used less so that when they were used they carried more meaning. I guess kinda like the word "beautiful", which I use all the time. The one word that can never be used too much is "love". Say it to someone, right now. The world needs as much love as it can get. Tell someone you love them hurry!
  • Something I appreciated: Paved roads.
  • Song you should listen to:
Hearts and short hair. Don't I just look so happy haha I don't know why I look so ticked.

Super cool abandoned buildings!

 Creepy. I love it.
 Ethan!

The view from the top of the rock thingies. So so pretty.
 Weird rocks.
The lovely landscape during the eclipse that's just to the left.
My hair got in the way of my shoe picture.

day140.

  • People I saw: Jostlyn, Carson, Angel, Carina, and Piper!
  • Things I did: I got like 5 inches of my hair chopped off because so much of my hair was dead and ugly! It feels much healthier now, but I miss my long hair. It'll grow back, right? My sister Desi was the one who did it for me. She, Gabby, and I went to Taco Bell for lunch. I finally decided to try to Dorito taco shell, but inside a cheesy gordita crunch. It was actually pretty dang good! I came home and got ready to go to Jostlyn's house where I got to meet her cute little puppy Piper! From there, Angel and his fiancee Carina picked us up so we could all go to Kolob for their engagements that Jostlyn shot. It was beautiful up there and I had a good time. Back in St. George, Jostlyn and I ordered some Cafe Rio over the phone. We had to wait half an hour so we decided to go to Baskin Robbins first.. yep, ice cream before dinner. I then came home and made brownies for tomorrow.
  • Something I learned: Whoever asks me to marry him must be prepared for some awesome engagement photos, because I won't settle for less :)
  • Something I appreciated: My mom is super cool.
  • Song you should listen to:

day139.

Who even reads my blog regularly, other than my mom, Sarah, Mike, and David? Cause according to Blogger, a bunch of my page hits come from these random websites, and it doesn't make any sense to me. Anyway.
  • People I saw: Keith, Allyson, the crew, my neighbors.
  • Things I did: Ah another good day. I woke up early and went to the high school with my mom and Connor to watch Tasha sing the national anthem for the middle school talent show. She was amazing, and I'm so proud! Mom and I went home to get Kirsten and Parker and we all went to Sonic to get drinks, Costco for groceries, then the DI to shop for fun. I ended up with 3 pairs of shoes and a clock for my collection. It's so cute I love it! I love clocks!
Before heading to work, I got a sandwich at the Cornerstone Bakery in the mall. And no offense to anyone but... the old guy in there is super weird and I was just uncomfortable. Sandwich was good and healthy though. Work was average. I went through the Wendy's drive thru before taking the crew their checks, and all I ordered was a frosty and value fries, but somehow ended up with 4 chicken sandwiches instead. I only realized it 2 seconds after I'd pulled away, but the truck behind me had already taken my spot so I went around through the line again to get my food and they let me keep the sandwiches! When I got to the yard to drop off the checks I let the guys have the extra food :) What a nice mistake that turned out to be!
The rest of the day consisted of me starting a new TV series (Once Upon a Time, cause my older sister and her husband love it), taking a short nap, eating a pizza and a cupcake, then working out. CrossFit day number two! It was harder today cause we actually did the full workout, but I feel great now. Nice and sore.
  • Something I learned: Everyone says this, but seriously working out/exercising is the best thing ever. I felt blah earlier today with a headache and stuff, but because I worked out so hard, I feel like I accomplished something today and I have more energy. If you're ever feeling lazy or depressed or anything negative at all, work out. Seriously.
  • Something I appreciated: Hot tubs. Mostly because I wish we still had one and we don't.
  • Just a little something from a great book: "We must not let attractions of the moment bring disaster for the eternities." This applies to everything.
  • Song you should listen to:

Silhouette.

The cupcake. Dad playing with grandson Parker. My work space. My healthy sandwich. Connor eating ice cream at Costco. Parker at Costco. :)

Did I mention I'm trying to start drawing again? This one I just started. It was sitting right by my weird lamp that has things dangling from it, thus the weird shadows on the paper.
