day182.

I woke up and babysat my nephews with Tasha.
Tasha and I went swimming at Green Valley Spa.
I showered and got halfway ready and went to Jostlyn's.
I helped Jostlyn shoot pictures of Corinne.
Jostlyn took pictures of me.
Jostlyn and I drove to Hurricane to get amazing pizza and frozen lemonade.
I went home.
Laney picked me up and we went to Brian's dance/birthday party at his house.
I hitched a ride with Brett and Trevor to RJ's house to hang out with Sam, Natalee, Seth, Kacey, and Tyson.
Sam drove me home.

day181.

A wonderful day.

I woke up a little earlier so I could wash and curl my hair and look all purty in my new skirt. Then I worked and was super bored but I did talk to Jostlyn for a bit and also saw most of the crew because they had to get gas for their trucks and such. One of them asked me out the other day, did I mention that? And today one of them told me I have beautiful eyes :) awww shucks my Mexican friends love me.
So after work I went to see Sam. Long story short, I left his house without really seeing him and he called me to make me come back but I felt dumb so I didn't. But then he called me again and said he'd come over. But I wasn't home yet so I said we should meet at Santa Clara park. When he got there I was sitting there with my guitar, so I played him that song I posted on here yesterday. It is about us, after all.
We went to Taco Bell just to get some Baja Blast Mountain Dew and sat outside drinking it and eating nachos. When we went back to the park, we sat on the hill overlooking the little league fields behind his jeep and talked.
Did I mention that I like Sam a lot? Well he might've asked me to be his girlfriend this evening.. and I might have said yes :) And it just so happened to be a nice evening, during my favorite time of day, in a beautiful, quiet spot while in his jeep. It was just perfect. You just can't plan things like that, but that's what makes it special.
The end.

 Sam's dog Boomer! Hehe.
Look at that good-lookin guy right there ;)

day180.

Nothing happened today other than work cause I canceled my plans and I'm still waiting for Sam to come home again. Sigh.

But I do have some plans. Chase used to record my songs for me, and produce them, all for free. But he and I aren't friends anymore and haven't talked for about a month. So. If anyone knows anyone who has recording stuff they'd let me use.. I'd love that more than anything. Because apparently there are a few people who like my stuff and wish I'd write more and record more. I want to buy my own recording gear, but first I have to save up to buy some decent stuff. I'm going to do that, but at the same time I'd rather not wait for that to happen to get my music going.
But I'm going to try harder to get my stuff out there. I'm going to keep recording my Youtube videos, meet more people on music websites who share their music, try to play live at open mics and stuff, etc.
Basically just build my network, create a fanbase if I can, and try harder to write better music. I found out today that someone showed someone else a picture of me and they recognized me as the girl who had a really nice voice and was good at the guitar at a talent show. So if I can get my name out there, who knows? I'm not saying I'm going to get famous or anything, but it would be cool to share my music with as many people as possible, and also collaborate with other artists who are just like me. I just love the sharing part of music, and bringing people together.
Also, there might be a one in a million chance that I'll get to put "Black Cats" on the local radio station. I'll let you know what happens with that.
For now, here's a song I wrote this week based on my Monday night. It's about Sam Packer :) And boy, does he deserve a song more than anyone I know right now.

I got this fortune cookie at Panda Express today. Below are some responses I got to posting this picture that made me happy.

Oh and also, here's someone who isn't so bright.

day179.

Today after work I took one of our employees, Elvin, to Intermountain Workmed because he got in a work-related accident a couple weeks back. His doctor was Sarah's dad, so it was a surprise to see him there!
Oh I also met Kirsten and my mom at Target and got some awesome candy in the dollar section. Also a new clock.
So then I'm driving home from work, and I'm on Bluff street heading north in the right lane. I need to be in the left lane way soon so I can turn, so I turn on my blinker but the car behind me to the left just speeds up. That's definitely normal, hardly anyone ever slows down and lets people in. What's also normal is to, in this case, proceed to cut that person off because they're not giving you a choice. Wouldn't you agree? So I had quite enough room and moved over in front of them anyway. Well I'm driving and realize that they're changing lanes behind me as I do. Not necessarily staying right behind me, but always in the same lane. I tell myself that if they turn onto my home street, I'll keep driving. And they did. So I called my dad as I'm freaking out, telling him I'm being followed, and asked if he was home. He was still in his office so I kept driving. To be sure they were following me, I took some turns around my neighborhood that someone definitely wouldn't take because I was going in circles. But they kept following me. I decided to go to my dad's office, and those people followed me all the way back up Valley View and back onto Bluff Street. I almost got to the Boulevard before I lost them. I was seriously so scared!
Anyway. Tonight I had institute with Laney and some random dude sat by us. We decided to go to Village Inn for their free pie after, and that random dude (named Matt) followed me out to my car so I felt like I should invite him. Then on our way there, Spencer called me (who had also been in the institute class) asking to hang out. So he, Jake, and Ammon all came too and we had pie and it was awesome. The end?

Tried on these shoes but didn't buy them. Surprise surprise.
Caaaandy.
Favorite part of my day every time.
 The Village Inn.
 New clock!

day178.

I seriously did nothing today other than work. It was awesome. And guess what? I'm going to go to bed before midnight. That is all.

day177.

Okay honestly I'm getting so sick of this layout. I don't write down every single person I see every day, and it's pointless anyway. And it's hard to think of something new I learned every day, etc. So.. yeah.

But today was great. I slept in and went to work at noon. Allyson and Keith left town today so I'm in charge for a week, which is kinda scary. I got some Taco Bell around 3 and I don't think I've eaten since.. that was almost 12 hours ago.
After work I visited my mom at her work then went home. I met Sam and Tyson Pettegrew at Krave.. so I guess I did eat something. That was at like 6:30 so okay fine. Then we went to Alberto's so they could get some burritos but I didn't eat anything there and I really wish I would've.
We went to Sam's house where Seth was and all just kinda waited for them to work on Sam's brother's jeep or something. Sam and I laid by his pool with our feet in and it was just so relaxing and so summer. Finally we drove to RJ's house to meet him and Natalee and Austin. We went over to where some goats and horses were for some reason just to hang out with them... Then we were going to take his and Sam's canoe out to Ivin's Reservoir because we still really need to conquer that thing, but Sam's mom didn't want to worry about us so we decided not to. Kacey met us and then we all went out to the sand dunes in Snow Canyon park. We raced, played hide and seek, and they buried me deep under the sand. Good thing I'm not claustrophobic because it was really hard to get out.
Tonight was just so nice though. We were all in RJ's truck with the windows down, and I was sitting next to Sam with my head on his shoulder and the summer breeze on my face.
Good times.

day176.

  • People I saw: Sam Packer, Seth, Kacey, grandma and cousins, etc.
  • Things I did: I woke up at 4:15 ish again and did the Spectrum paper route one more time. The Salt Lake papers didn't get here til 7:15 so I wasn't even done with everything til after 10 so I couldn't really nap before church. I had to get ready and go to some meetings at noon. Church was great, I accompanied the choir in sacrament meeting and also at the rest home's sacrament meeting. Des comes to the single's ward with me now which I'm sure is going to be lots of fun. After church I actually got to take a nap for a couple hours but I woke up still feeling so tired. We ate dinner then went to visit my grandma in Cedar City. As soon as we got home I got ready again and waited for my friends. Sam and Seth and Sam's brother Willy have been in Paige, AZ for the better part of the last two months, working on painting a radio tower, so I haven't seen them a lot. They came home for a couple days. So the two of them plus Kacey picked me up in Sam's older jeep and we drove to Gunlock Reservoir. We laid out some blankets by the water and watched the stars. Seth took Kacey home early so on the way back it was just me, Sam, and Seth, and it was the funniest ride ever. Seth told me all about how he drove around a field by Lava Ridge running over 600 bunnies and then later took them a carrot sacrifice but "they wouldn't take it". I couldn't stop laughing. I guess you had to be there? So then they brought me back home.
Also I've been thinking a lot about Lollapalooza and Coachella and wishing so badly I could go. I wish I at least still lived in Provo so I could easily go to the Twilight Concert Series. Last year I only went to Bright Eyes (which was amazing cause it's my favorite band ever) but this year I wish I could go because there are several artists I want to see. Like Band of Horses, Iron and Wine, M.Ward, etc. Also, someone told me that mewithoutYou is going to Salt Lake and I have never seen them. Ugh! Anyway.
  • Something I learned: McDonald's reboots their system at 2:45 a.m. Sam and Seth told me this from the night before. So unless you have cash, don't go there ate 2:45.
  • Something I appreciated: Starry skies. So beautiful!

day175.

  • People I saw: Sean,
  • Things I did: I woke up at 4:15 a.m., after two hours of sleep, and did the two paper routes. I came home and slept til one in the afternoon. I got ready and did some chores around the house. Part of my family and I went to my cousin's house to visit, because his best friend was the young man who drowned this week. We went to comfort him and talk about KJ. I felt comforted to know that he was a good kid doing everything he was supposed to, and that he was prepared to meet his Savior.
I got my car washed finally, and I accidentally took the whole wrapper off my scent tree so my car has an overpowering smell now.
I met Sean at Stadium 8 and we saw the new movie Brave at 9:35, then we sat in the parking lot and talked for a few minutes before I came home to sleep.
  • Something I learned: It's crazy how two people can live in the same town for over 15 years and not meet.
  • Something I appreciated: That I wasn't completely miserable due to my extreme lack of sleep.
  • Song you should listen to:

day174.

  • People I saw: Allyson, Keith, Spencer, Lane, Jake, Marissa.
  • Things I did: I woke up at 4 this morning so I could meet Tony at 4:30. He had me drive with him on his Spectrum paper route so that I could sub for him the next two days. I then did his Tribune route by myself and came home. I went to work like normal, and Keith picked us up some Outback Steakhouse. I got the most amazing beef sandwich ever oh my gosh. After work I went to Costco to get a new phone. I got the same one, mine just had some problems since I got it so I needed a new one. I came home and played with Parker for a long time in my room. Later in the evening I got all dressed up and ready to go hang with some friends. I went to Spencer's and we sat around and talked for a long time with Lane and Jake and some girl who's name I don't remember. After a while, Spencer and Lane and I decided to go to Lane's parent's house, where we met Marissa. The four of us played a Motocross game on X Box, then Spencer and I played some songs on the piano. At the end of the night we were all lying on the trampoline outside looking at the stars. The end.
  • Something I learned: Looks aren't everything... they really aren't.
  • Something I appreciated: Being young.
  • Song you should listen to:
Uh yeah he couldn't be any cuter.
 New dress.

day173.

Just let me find you today.

  • People I saw: Spencer, Allyson.
  • Things I did: I woke up around 11 because I was so beat from the day before. I got dressed in a new skirt and shirt and went to work like normal. I wasn't feeling well so when I came home I got into bed. I'm pretty sure I have allergies, and it's just annoying cause I sneeze a lot and my eyes tear up. I was supposed to go to Spencer's and watch a movie and stuff but I told him I wasn't feeling well. But then I really wanted to see him (cause he just got back from Idaho) so I made him come visit me instead! We played music and watched The Rocker. It's a pretty funny movie and it's about music so naturally I liked it. After that we just talked and whatever. Then I went to bed.
  • Something I learned: It's never too late.
  • Something I appreciated: Medicine.
  • Song you should listen to:

day172.

  • People I saw: Kyler Mitchell, Mike Wilson, Laney, Brayden, Brian, Kyle, Judie Gardner, Rory Mellor, and lots of people.
  • Things I did: I forgot to mention that last night I went to Tonaquint park with Ty and a bunch of people and watched Toy Story 3 on the big screen he built.
Today Kyler picked me up, we met Mike, and the 3 of us drove to Vegas (yeah I know I just got back from there last night) for the Vans Warped Tour. It was my very first one! The bands at those things aren't what I typically listen to, but I was familiar with a bunch of them and I've always wanted that experience so I'm glad I went. Before it started we shopped at the Fashion Show Mall.
We parked behind the Luxor and walked to the event around 1 p.m. It was over 100 degrees and we had 6 water bottles between the 3 of us which weren't cold. Before we even saw any bands play, we saw 4 girls passed out on the ground or being hauled away by the medics. We listened to the bands The Used, Yellowcard, Mayday Parade, We the Kings, Taking Back Sunday, The Constellations, Breathe Carolina, and Of Mice and Men. We were going to stay for All Time Low but they didn't go on til 10, and before 9 we were pretty much dead so we left for Denny's and then came home. It was so freaking hot, and we had to pay $3 for water bottles, and food was expensive of course, and the shoes I was wearing were not supportive so now I have huge blisters and it is miserable to walk. But it was lots and lots of fun and I didn't die! I crowd surfed for the first time in my life finally, and it didn't go so well. I got the hottest guys there to lift me up and get going but then I got dropped. But I landed okay I guess.
I really don't want to go to work tomorrow but I guess I have to. And at least I have something to look forward to after :)
  • Something I learned: Wear comfy shoes.
  • Something I appreciated: Well I'd never been more excited in my life to sit down than I was when we got to Kyler's sexy car after the show.
  • Song you should listen to: Old time favorite.
I tried really hard okay.
Most refreshing thing ever. Saved my life.
 Breathe Carolina I think?

 The Constellations <3
This picture should've been first.. it's us on the way down.

 Denny's.
Ran into my other friends there!

day169,170,171.

On Sunday my family and I drove to Vegas for Father's day and my sister's 27th birthday. We just got back tonight. While we were there, we shopped, ate good food, went bowling, and went swimming. If I think of anything interesting to say about our mini vacation I will, but for now I need to go to sleep.
Goodnight. Here are some pictures.
