day91.

  • People I saw: Kelsey, Tyler, Sam Packer, Megan Phillips, Chandis Nyborg, Paige Ovard, Brynley Anderson.
  • Things I did: Watched conference, went to Megan's bridal shower, came home and did homework and stuff. Later, Kelsey and Tyler came over and we made brownies. Then Sam came over and we all took off in his awesome jeep with the doors off and went out to the crazy hills. Kels and Tyler hit their heads a few times but we all made it out alive. It seriously awesome though, because once you get Kelsey laughing like a crazy person, everyone starts laughing and everything is funny for a long time and it's all so fun. It was just super fun almost dying 10 times and stuff..
  • Something I learned: I reactivated my Facebook today, and realized that I'd missed out on some fun things because I hadn't had my Facebook to remind me about certain events. So. Furious.
  • Something I appreciated: Jeeps!

day90. (republished)

  • People I saw: Rodney, Gabby, I'm sure someone else..
  • Things I did: Work, school, work. I babysat my nephews and that was definitely the highlight of my day. It's not even 10:00 yet so maybe something awesome will happen tonight. In fact, I'm sure it will ;)
    • Yep, here it is a few hours later. Sam Pace is in town for the weekend so I went and picked him up at his parent's house. We then drove through the Indian Res, getting super scared just for fun cause I like that stuff. Then we came back to my house and watched a lame movie on Netflix and I took him home. But the night was awesome! Does anyone else feel like they're driving through an empty town when they drive through Santa Clara in the middle of the night?
  • Something I learned: I am really freakin cool.
  • Something I appreciated: Time.

day89.

  • People I saw: The usual.
  • Things I did: I got to sleep in a little! Then I went to math, practiced the piano, and went to choir. I also went to work for a second to do something before coming home. For the rest of the day I've been watching How I Met Your Mother, sleeping, writing a song, Skyping with Seth, and stuff like that. Chill day.
  • Something I learned: Everything negative in my life can be traced back to my lack of sleep.
  • Something I appreciated: Dresses! Yeah I got the one I'm wearing for $1.50. That's right.
  • Song you should listen to (because I'm probably going to be in someone's cover of it!):

day88.

  • People I saw: Ryan Otterson.
  • Things I did: I woke up earlier than normal to go to the school at 8:30 for a short conference with my English teacher. Then I went to work til it was time for choir and my piano lesson. After that I met my mom at the Hope Chest and I got like 10 way cool things for $10. Dresses dresses dresses! And also a clock to add to my collection. My dad came for a sec to say hi. My mom and I went to Urban Renewal after that and I got a super cute pair of shoes for more than twice what I spent at the Hope Chest (haha..) and another clock. Then I came home and made some mac & cheese and I ate half of it, then before I knew it my sisters had eaten the rest behind my back. But it's okay cause my mom made sloppy joes pretty much right after that... And not much later Ryan came over and I showed him my house before he took me to Iceberg to get shakes. We drove around listening to cool music then I decided that after 13 ish years of living in St. George, I was finally going to go check out what I call the "falling rock." It's this rock on the side of the mountain by Indian Hills Drive, and it looks like it's going to fall, seriously (you've probably seen it if you live here). So we pull over and climb up the mountain (of course I'm wearing slip-on shoes and a skirt). The rock is a lot huger than I thought. And I always thought it must be anchored to something in the back where you can't see from the road. But nope! It's just resting on all these smaller rocks and it's going to fall one day I swear. After sitting and talking and enjoying the wonderfully cool night, Ryan took me home. There were cookies on the stove. My family makes way too many treats but I'm okay with that. So below you'll find a picture of my new shoes, my clock collection to date, the falling rock, and some random things around my room that I like.
  • Something I learned: "On any day you can step out the front door and your whole life can change forever."
  • Something I appreciated: The end of this text conversation made me laugh out loud:
Chase "I am a horrible texter. I tried looking up the sheet music online if that would help but you might just be able to ear it."
Me: "I can probably ear it. But hey you are the best texter ever! You stopped texting me when I got picked up, then texted me right when I got home from my date!"
Chase: "Hahaha right on. Mmmmm...free food..."
    Me: "Free food?"
    Chase: "A date haha"
Me: "I did get free ice cream!!"
Chase: "Score. Few things can top ice cream...except of course, toppings."

Hahahaha oh my gosh for some reason that I thought that was so funny.

day87.

  • People I saw: Just the usual.
  • Things I did: I went to my first two classes and I'm pretty sure I slept through most of math... if you can call putting my head on the desk in the most uncomfortable way and closing my eyes sleeping. Then I had a break to practice piano and I felt like I was practicing forever when only half an hour had gone by and I just wanted to sleep. So I went to the Eccles building 20 minutes before choir started and lie down in the hallway, telling the people sitting there to wake me up when it was time. I left choir early to go to Hairitage, the hair school where my sister is attending. She dyed and cut my hair. Now it doesn't look so dead! I ran home to eat something before going to Spanish class.. where I also put my head on the desk uncomfortably and closed my eyes. Then I ran to my work office to do a few things before going home for dinner. Most of my family was home all evening so we spent a lot of good quality time together. Ben made chocolate cake in a mug (a few of them) for everyone but that wasn't enough for me so I baked an entire chocolate cake after that. Now I'm in bed talking to Sarah on Skype (because we can't chat on Facebook anymore).
  • Something I learned: Variety is good.
  • Something I appreciated: The feeling I get when I lift up the covers and get into my bed. It is seriously heaven. But unfortunately, it will never be as comfy as I feel when my alarm goes off and I know it's time to get up.
  • Song you should listen to (courtesy of Sarah):

day86.

  • People I saw: Just people in choir and Keith.
  • Things I did: Went to work, to choir, to Olive Garden with my parents, Kirsten, Connor, and Parker, went back to work, then came home. I've been doing homework and watching my nephews and stuff. I really wanted to write a song today but that probably won't happen... Oh and take a good look at my hair cause I'm changing it again tomorrow.
  • Something I learned: You can't use Spotify without logging into Facebook. So dumb. At least I have an iPod!
  • Something I appreciated: Sarah just deactivated her Facebook too. We're going to see who can go the longest without logging on. As soon as she did it she said "i feel so freeeee." hahaha. Let's hope she doesn't lie and get on without telling me.

day85.

  • People I saw: Kelsey, Sarah, Amanda, family.
  • Things I did: Well my family picked me up in Provo and we all went home. We visited my grandma in the Cedar City hospital on our way through. And I deactivated my Facebook.
  • Something I learned: I'm a loser.
  • Something I appreciated: Candles.

day84.

  • People I saw: Kelsey, Amanda, Rebecca, Sarah, Tyler, Karsen Yack, Josh Wilson, Chris Christiansen, Tyler Thatcher, Kaylie Probert, Connor Dodge, Jon Campbell, Jaclyn Farmer, Alicia Clouse, and Mark something.
  • Things I did: Okay today was seriously so awesome, I hope I don't forget anything. No one will read something this long. I woke up on my old roommates' couch and just lay here for a while (yeah I'm on the couch right now). Then Sarah called me and made me get up to get ready cause I had some business to do. So I got ready with Kelsey, she for work and me for awesomeness. She dropped me off at Gen X so I could get a white shirt, then Sarah came and got me and we ended up getting white shirts across the street at the DI anyway. Then we went to her apartment while she got ready before heading over to her friend Jaclyn's house where we met her with her fiance Mark and other friend Alicia.
Then we drove to Spanish Fork to go to the Festival of Colors just like everyone else! Man it was crazy on the freeway on the way there. We saw a dinosaur, a guy with the creepiest clown face ever, and just some crazy stuff. As soon as we parked on the main road in SF to start walking toward the Krishna Temple, we kept seeing more just random stuff. And it was awesome cause we were walking past people going the other way, and past stop-and-go traffic, so we saw a lot of people who just looked happy. Everyone was in a good mood and everyone was friends! I also stamped a bunch of strange but good-looking men with my "you look good" stamp, and I'm pretty sure it made a lot of people's day. We got to the temple and ran into Chris, then Josh (while losing Sarah's friends). But two minutes later we found them and they had chalk for us! And like three minutes after that we were on the hill and the count down came. I happened to open my mouth right as one of the girls threw purple chalk riiiight at my face so.. I thought I was going to die. Anyway. We went onto the top of the temple, then left. We were in and out of there so fast, and of course we made more friends on the way back. That's when we ran into Tyler. Oh also, we almost wrecked on the freeway home. Cause of stupid drivers.
So then, Sarah and I went home to shower and get ready again. We went to Winger's at Provo Towne Centre and ate yummy food. Karsen called me and stopped on his way through Provo to come say hi to us real fast cause I hadn't seen him in over two years! We were friends freshman year of college before he left on his mission. So, then Sarah and I went home (to my old place/Kelsey's place) and waited for Kelsey to get home from work. Then we all just laughed a bunch (which we'd been doing all freaking day, by the way). Sarah had to go to work, then Kelsey colored my hair! I'll post a picture of it tomorrow. After that, Kelsey, Tyler, and I rushed to the theater to see the Hunger Games! We met Jon there, a guy I just met. It was weird but awesome. And now we're home... and that was a really long paragraph but you have no idea how many details I left out. Just take my word for it.
  • Something I learned: Being friendly to people you don't know brings some of the greatest happiness. If everyone would just always lighten up and be in a good mood like that, oh my gosh the world would be so happy.
  • Something I appreciated: Showers.

day83.

  • People I saw: Umm everyone! Kelsey, Amanda, Rebecca, Sarah, Jacee, Sydney, Cassidy, Emily, Tyler, Jamal, and I think that's everyone important.
  • Things I did: Oh gosh such an amazing day. My family drove up and dropped me off in Provo on their way to Salt Lake. So I met Kelsey at University mall and we shopped at the best store I've ever been in and bought awesome things. Then Sarah picked me up and we went to Stouffer's thrift store in Springville, then an awesome fun store in Spanish Fork. She took me back to Kelsey's and we got ready for her BRIDAL SHOWER! Amanda and I went to Macey's and stuff. So we did all that fun bridal shower stuff and it was so fun being around such fun friends. Then Kels and I went to Jamal's and Tyler's in Cedar Hills and hung out a bit before coming home. I feel like I'm forgetting something cause this seems really short for how awesome today was. OH YEAH. While I was in Sarah's car I had my window rolled down cause it was such a lovely day. And I was trying to smile and wave at people outside and stuff. But some gross lady at the bus stop flipped me off when I waved as we drove by! Then I smiled and waved at a nerdy looking guy in a passing car and he gave me the weirdest look ever. Don't worry, I finally got someone to wave back with a smile.
  • Something I learned: People will constantly surprise you (in good ways or bad).
  • Something I appreciated: BEING here with the friends I love so much who love me back so much! Other than my family, the people who love me most are in Provo, Utah. That's for sure.
  • Song you should listen to (this is a really weird and i think unofficial music video. so just don't watch it. listen):

Thursday, March 22, 2012

day82.

  • People I saw: Reuel, Amanda White, Osiel & the crew.
  • Things I did: School, work, shopped for more stuff, and I'm currently making my awesome brownies.
  • Something I learned: People keep confessing their "love" to me... or something like that.
  • Something I appreciated: Dental floss.
  • Song you should listen to:

day81.

First of all: a shout out to Sarah Britt, my most avid blog follower.
Isn't she beautiful?

  • People I saw: Keith, Carissa, Kylie Friedel, Alyssa Knighton, Jordan Harris, Ryan Otterson.
  • Things I did: Went to work, then to choir and my piano lesson, then back to work. Then I took tasha to her Young Women activity. Then I went to Carissa's house for banana splits and Mario Party on the Wii! I came home for like 5 minutes before I left again to go jam with Ryan. It was a pretty chill day.
  • Something I learned: My sister asked a really simple, common question: "Why not today?" It got me thinkin. I'm going to live by that...
  • Something I appreciated: Phone calls.

day80.

  • People I saw: Shalem, Reuel, etc.
  • Things I did: I went to school.. ugh. I also went to work, practiced the piano for two hours, and went to Walmart to buy stuff for Kelsey's bridal shower. Also, today while I was sitting in the student center doing math homework, I saw this one boy. A couple weeks ago I saw him in there and thought he was cute, and he kept looking at me, but he never talked to me or anything. Well today I was going to say something! So he walked away, and when he came back past me, I stopped him and asked him his name. Then I told him to hold out his hand and I stamped him with my stampy stamp! (pictured below). It was awesomely spontaneous. Thus the purpose of the stamp.
  • Something I learned: We are in a constant battle against others and against ourselves. It is our responsibility to control our own lives, by making every single choice for the right reasons. I will never let myself make a big, life-changing decision for the wrong reasons.
  • Something I appreciated: Walmart. Seriously. They got everything, ya know?
  • Song you should listen to:

day79.

  • People I saw: Keith, Sam Jamison.
  • Things I did: I went to a work meeting, did a bunch of stuff for school. I went hiking in Snow Canyon Park with Sam. That was super fun! When we got there it was slightly chilly but as we started climbing this mountain rock thing we warmed up. When we got to the top it started snowing, and after we made our way to the bottom on the other side, it was bright and sunny! Sam and I ate at Honolulu grill after, then he took me home. I did more stuff for school, went back to work for a bit, and then came home for dinner and more homework. Yay.
  • Something I learned: It's better to tell someone the truth than to lead them on.
  • Something I appreciated: BMWs. Oh yeah. 130 mph.. shhhhh.
  • Song you should listen to (these guys are awesome live):

Sunday, March 18, 2012

day78.

  • People I saw: Lots of family, lots of ward people, Levi Myers, Ryan Briggs.
  • Things I did: I woke up early and went to Cedar City with my family so we could go to my cousin Brett's mission farewell. We had a yummy breakfast and stuff after, and I got to see my favorite cousin too! Then when we got back to St. George I opened my laptop to put on some music so I could make my bed and get stuff done. Instead, once I turned on the music, I sat my laptop down and fell asleep in my bed for who knows how long. I went to ward prayer at 8:30 and chilled with my ward friends for a while. Then Carissa and I went out to Ryan's house cause Levi was there and invited us over. We watched the second half of one movie and the first half of another movie before coming home. It was a pretty good Sunday.
  • Something I learned: It's a huge turn on to see a guy playing the piano!
  • Something I appreciated: The fact that there is not a zombie apocalypse... yet.
  • Song you should listen to (I saw this a long time ago and just remembered it):

Saturday, March 17, 2012

day77.

  • People I saw: Errin Andrus, Sarah, Kelly Larson, Chantay Fry, Sam Jamison.
  • Things I did: I woke up early to feed Shaka, then I came back home and did this sort of sleeping/watching Netflix/lying there dead thing until like noon. Then I fed him again before showering and going to lunch with my mom and two of my sisters at Chuck-a-Rama. We then went to the new Gap and to Ulta then home. Sarah picked me up a bit later and we went back to Ulta and I bought some new lipstick! Then we went to 25 Main and I got a smoothie while Sarah got an Italian soda, and we both got a cupcake. Then we were at my house later attempting homework. Sam came over then Sarah left. Sam and I just sat in my room talking for a couple hours about stuff. He's a pretty awesome guy :)
  • Something I learned: I really want to move back to Provo. Have I already said that?
  • Something I appreciated: Getting to spend time with Sarah.
  • Song you should listen to:

day76.

  • People I saw: Unless you count all the people I was with all last night until early morning, I just saw Sarah, and if there was anyone else I don't remember.
  • Well after getting home I showered and went to work. When I came home for lunch, I was so freakin hyper it's ridiculous. I Skyped with Sarah and then with Matt (who's in Germany!) and I just couldn't stop being hilarious. I couldn't believe I wasn't tired all day because, well, I never really slept last night! But around 4:30 pm when Sarah came over for like an hour I basically crashed and got way sleepy. After she left I took a short nap before my family woke me up for dinner. Then I took sweet little Connor with me to feed my boss's dog, and let him "drive" my car in a circle on my street. I love him with my whole life. Sarah came over again for two seconds before we decided to go to her house. I was pretty much falling asleep so I decided to come home and here I am.
  • Something I learned: I'm in love.
  • Something I appreciated: The fact that no one knows who I'm in love with! Except him. And Sarah. Don't even think about trying to get it out of Sarah. Okay and I just barely told someone else but I'm not even going to tell you who I told because you will never find out who it is!
  • Song you should listen to: Well have I had ya listen to my only finished song I've ever done yet? Here it is:

I am not trying to "plank" in this picture. This is just me after being awake for too long.

day75.

Sorry I'm doing this late. I wasn't home all night and I didn't have internet access!
  • People I saw: Sam Packer, Ty Mangum, Jaycie Shotwell, Dani Valentine, Brayden Frehner, Katelyn Jensen, Jaclyn Sherman, Landon Anderson, Dallas something, Levi Myers, Ryan Briggs, Jordan Wangsgard, Beau Richardson, CJ Davis, Natalia something, Nik McBride, Laney something.. and I think that's it.
  • Things I did: I went to work. When I was done working, my older sister Kirsten had me put on her wedding dress so she could practice bridal photography. Then Sam brought me my camera so I could take it with me to Ty's cabin! So I met people at Ty's house then we drove up to Pine Valley. On the way there, we were driving next to another truck and I looked over to see two guys in it. I waved as we passed, then they sped up to catch up and one of them held up an obviously pre-made piece of paper with a number on it. Classic. So when we got to the cabin, we made a fire, ate hot dogs and s'mores, told scary stories, watched Edward Scissorhands, and had a great time with a bunch of great people. We also got pretty much no sleep, and left to come home at 7:00 a.m. this morning.
  • Something I learned: There's just something about him.
  • Something I appreciated: Being in good company.
  • Instead of posting a "song you should listen to", just watch this awesome video:

Wednesday, March 14, 2012

day74.

  • People I saw: Sam Packer, Ryan Otterson, Deric Hansen, Mark Roberts.
  • Things I did: First of all, I left my camera in Sam's car, so I'll have to upload today's picture tomorrow. Anyway. I woke up and fed Shaka around 8. Then I got ready and went to Fedex something for the first time in my life! After that I went to work, then came home for lunch and fed Shaka again, then went back to work. After work I came home and fed Shaka yet again (he's a growing puppy!) and I kinda helped make dinner. I also cleaned my room. I feel like there was something else I did but I can't remember... Oh yeah I went through the Dairy Queen drive through with two of my sisters and my mom to get ice cream. I fed Shaka one more time around 8 pm. Soon after that, Sam came and met my parents as he picked me up to take me to a movie. We saw John Carter and I actually liked it a LOT. Way cool movie. They weren't seating for it when we got there, so we decided to go outside. Then Sam saw a ladder on the building next to the theater. You know, the kind of ladder that is blocked off and too high up to reach so that people won't climb onto the roof. But. We climbed onto the roof! It was awesome! Then it was time for the movie to start. I saw Mark before going in, then we saw Ryan and Deric after it in the lobby. When the movie was over, Sam and I went on some adventures. We went to the top of the parking garage on main street and got out Sam's long board. I wasn't quite ready for this and I wasn't wearing the best shoes but he insisted that we experiment. So we both got on the board at the same time and rode it down the levels together. It was freakin scary cause I'm just scared of long boarding in general. Then we got real brave and Sam stood on the board while holding me in his arms and we went down a level and a half, which means going around corners too! Holy cow it was scary but way fun. We then ran around the area a bit just talking and having a good time. And then he took me home! The end :)
  • Something I learned: Simple things are so much fun when you're with someone who lets you know without saying anything that they want to be around you.
  • Something I appreciated: St. George weather right now is pretty awesome at night.
  • Song you should listen to:

  • Things I did: Started taking care of my boss's puppy while he's out of town, went to work, went to Ryan's house to hang out and watch things.

  • Something I appreciated: Light bulbs.
