day366.

LAST BLOG POST OF THE YEAR.

366 days of blog posts. Holy cow.
I cleaned my room yesterday, and put all my Christmas stuff away. I also rearranged everything hanging on my walls because of the tapestry. My room is so perfect right now. I could sit in there forever.
I went grocery shopping cause I didn't have any food. Then I kind of just hung out before work.
I was only at work for less than an hour when my foot started bothering me. So I pulled back the sock to feel it and I felt a big blister. I started freaking out and left so I could go to the doctor's house. Turns out I have huge blisters on my feet where the adhesive strips were. Ew.
So I didn't go back to work after that. I went to Slade Walker's house with Katlyn, Christina, Nate, and Carissa. There were a bunch of people there. Monks, TAnne
An hour or so later we left and went to the Institute party. They actually had a way organized thing going on with lots of stuff to do, and tons of people were there.
But at 11:30 we left and went down the street to Blair's and Dallas's house. We sat in Dallas's room cause it's the only room with a heater right now and played games and stuff. It was us, Ty Mangum, a John I just met, Asha, and Derrick Crowley.
No New Year's kiss for me. I don't remember the last time I had one. I know it's been at least three years.
OH well!

Same shirt I wore last year on New Year's Eve.
Carissa and I while at Slade's house.
Kind of sad that this was the last picture taken of me in 2012. But Ty ran in Dallas's room saying the zombie apocalypse had started and I knew he wasn't serious but I still got freaked out at the thought. Dallas even got out his shot gun. And then someone growled outside the door and kept banging against it trying to open it. It was just Derrick though.

day365.

I typed in "day365" and got all nervous thinking I had miscounted for the whole year and then remembered it's a leap year so.. yeah :)
I finally tried driving today for the first time in over two weeks. It took me a second to get used to but it's not hard to drive with my foot like this. I was glad I could get back to my apartment and get all my stuff put away and organized. My room looks freaking awesome! I love it, it's so perfect!
We had a combined church today with a bunch of wards because of so many people being out of town. I played the piano, pedaling with my left foot.
After Sunday School, we took a 5 minute break before the third meeting. So I went into the halls and found Eric Reed (he'd told me he was there) and brought him back to my class with me. He's such a cool guy. So classy-looking, too.
After church was when I packed up all my stuff and took it back to my apartment with my sister's help. I came back and had dinner with my family and Gabby and Rusty, who just got married on Friday!
Then I went to ward prayer with Carissa and there was only about ten people there which is pretty unusual.
After ward prayer I went over to Steve's house. He was bumpin' some jams so we chilled for a minute and then we watched Pitch Perfect. Finally saw it! It was aight.
Then we went on a midnight Del Taco run. Yum. And after jamming a bit more, I went home.

I really like my new coat and hat and they go perfectly with my round glasses and a mustache, right?

day364.

I'm contemplating if I should continue my blog posts for next year. Yeah, I probably will. Start over at day one. Maybe work on making my pictures more interesting like I did at the beginning of this year. Who knows. I want to make lots of musical and artistic goals for this year!

Like... other than money, what is stopping me from moving to a big city where there's a music scene and being part of something that is going to make me happy and give me the kind of life I would enjoy? I know it wouldn't be the same as living in an LDS-dominated area. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't still be LDS. I just don't know why I don't go on an adventure.

Today I really did nothing except come in to work a couple hours early to make a little more monies. All these surgeries be leavin me broke.

But I found this article on the internet. It was a speech given by Paul Harvey in 1965.

"If I were the Devil . . . I mean, if I were the Prince of Darkness, I would of course, want to engulf the whole earth in darkness. I would have a third of its real estate and four-fifths of its population, but I would not be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree, so I should set about however necessary to take over the United States. I would begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: “Do as you please.” “Do as you please.” To the young, I would whisper, “The Bible is a myth.” I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what is bad is good, and what is good is “square”. In the ears of the young marrieds, I would whisper that work is debasing, that cocktail parties are good for you. I would caution them not to be extreme in religion, in patriotism, in moral conduct. And the old, I would teach to pray. I would teach them to say after me: “Our Father, which art in Washington” . . . If I were the devil, I’d educate authors in how to make lurid literature exciting so that anything else would appear dull an uninteresting. I’d threaten T.V. with dirtier movies and vice versa. And then, if I were the devil, I’d get organized. I’d infiltrate unions and urge more loafing and less work, because idle hands usually work for me. I’d peddle narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. And I’d tranquilize the rest with pills.

If I were the devil, I would encourage schools to refine yound intellects but neglect to discipline emotions . . . let those run wild. I would designate an athiest to front for me before the highest courts in the land and I would get preachers to say “she’s right.” With flattery and promises of power, I could get the courts to rule what I construe as against God and in favor of pornography, and thus, I would evict God from the courthouse, and then from the school house, and then from the houses of Congress and then, in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and I would deify science because that way men would become smart enough to create super weapons but not wise enough to control them.

If I were Satan, I’d make the symbol of Easter an egg, and the symbol of Christmas, a bottle. If I were the devil, I would take from those who have and I would give to those who wanted, until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. And then, my police state would force everybody back to work. Then, I could separate families, putting children in uniform, women in coal mines, and objectors in slave camps. In other words, if I were Satan, I’d just keep on doing what he’s doing."

day363.

I saw the Hobbit with my daddy! It was sooo good. Man I just love those movies. It was way weird watching a movie with Gandalf in it but no other characters from the other movies. Except the Elf king and Gollum I guess but you know. I loved it though.
I hung out with Jon tonight. We went to my apartment and there were a million people there. I got him and some dude to help me hang up my new tapestry and it looks so cool in my room! Man I have so much cool stuff.
Not a bad Friday.
I accidentally took Jon's jacket into my house though, with my armful of clothes. Whoops.

Isn't my tapestry soo cool?! It's huge.

day362.

When my dad picked me up from work last night, he took me to Dairy Queen and we got candy cane blizzards for everyone yum!
Bryant picked me up at my house and we got another $5 movie at Walmart to watch.

In case you didn't see my Facebook status today, this was my morning:

"My mom woke me up and asked if I would go to Cedar with her. I kinda said no and fell back asleep for a minute. I then had a dream that all these things went wrong because I didn't go with my mom. I am now in the car with my mom on the way to Cedar."

So yeah I went to Cedar City with my mom and Kirsten. Kirsten had a photo shoot with our cousins, and I went along so I could play the piano for my grandmother, my mom's mom.
We also had lunch at Pizza Factory.
After getting home, my dad was taking me to work when I remembered I gave my shift away because we were maybe going to go to Salt Lake but we didn't. So I went back home haha and that was dumb.

Sarah picked me up later and we saw Les Miserables together. It was really good but it just made me really sad.

This was last night though and I think my friends are funny. I also think I'm funny.

Today

Hahhahaa.

I love snowy stuff.

Oh this is the movie we watched last night.

Poor Connor got croup. He's gotten it three years in a row. Poor baby went to the doctor :(

Cool things.

Some people just make my day. Random message out of nowhere just to be nice!

day361.

I practiced the piano today for the first time since my surgery. This time it's way harder cause I'm supposed to pedal with my right foot, but the boot makes it hard to push up and down quickly. So I tried using my left foot and.. let's just say I need more practice doing that. Or my foot should just get better faster.
Then Des and I went shopping. But we actually didn't buy anything, except for when we went to Swig to get drinks. Mmmmm dirty Dr. Pepper. Seriously best thing ever.
Now I'm at work wooo what should I do tonight?!

day360.

Merry Christmas!!!!

We woke up and did the thing, you know, opened presents then ate a yummy breakfast.
I didn't ask for anything big this year (except two days before I said I wanted a Macbook but I wasn't serious and I didn't expect one) but I got a bunch of great stuff that I asked for or picked out. I'll take pictures later and post them maybe.
We had scrambled eggs with cheese, hash browns, french toast, and bacon. And apple juice yum!
We spent the day sitting around the house talking and just being together. It was lovely.
We had a freaking delicious prime rib dinner. Gosh I never get seconds when it comes to beef but YUM this time I did!
Bryant came over later and we watched The Dark Knight Rises cause he hadn't seen it yet. Yep I fell asleep but he stayed up for the whole movie. I'm kinda mad cause I love it.

The one thing I already took a picture of. My freaking cool giant tapestry for my wall! Yay!

Crappy sticker nails. I feel like I already posted a picture of them but oh well.

Forgot to post a link to my new song :)

day359.

Twas a good day.  My daddy took me to the mall and Walmart so I could finish up my Christmas shopping. He also took me to Iceberg twice, once so I could eat and say hi to Bryant and again so I could give Bryant his present. Then he took me to Ernie's so I could give Austin a $1 record I found for him. It has classical music on it so I figured he'd like it. I then went to work but I got to leave at 6:45 cause they were offering early outs. That means I got to go to dinner with my family! At Buca Di Beppo. It was delicious, and we got to sit in this little round room with a king's chair at a round table.
Then we drove around to look at Christmas lights.

Cutest nephews in their Christmas pajamas :)

What a nice thing to say. Haha.

day358.

I went to church with my family today, it was lovely :)
Church is the best.
My roommates and I exchanged gifts, we drew names so I got Katlyn a beanie and this cool box of matches I found at Urban Renewal. Carissa gave me a freaking awesome clock!!
Tonight was my mom's side of the family's annual Christmas party! It's seriously the best. We have lots of yummy food, and then the same guy comes as Santa Claus every year. He's hilarious and makes the best jokes and always sings "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" in the funniest way. Maybe I'll upload the video of him singing. He gives us all a present that our parents have previously put into a big present bag. It's a blast.
Then Bryant picked me up and we watched "Takers" at his house.

:)

Me and cousin Bryce :)
The clock Carissa gave me. I love it so much!
My mom, me, my cousin McKay.
The necklace I got from Santa. I like the quote underneath :)

day357.

Melinda came over today for a minute to get some gold fish ready that she is giving to Carissa for Christmas.
Then guess what! I went to work! Yay money.
Celeste came over tonight and gave me a cute little candle holder with my favorite word on it: "hope."
And, for the first time, Bryant didn't come over. Weird.

I think it's gotten to the point where I have more pictures of me after midnight with no makeup on and in my PJs than I do of me during the day all ready and stuff.

day356.

Sarah came over today! I was texting Bryant about how I was craving a candy cane blizzard from Dairy Queen, and less than two minutes later, Sarah walked in with a frozen hot chocolate from Dairy Queen. It was definitely good enough to satisfy my craving! Thanks Sarah.
She stayed for a while and tried to help me figure out my knitting again but still, I have not knitted anything.
She left, and a couple hours later, Bryant came over. We watched Warrior.

Yuum yum yum.
Bryant and I spent quite a while messing with funny apps on our phones. This is the least horrifying one.

day355.

I went to dinner with my parents, Kirsten, Ben, Connor, and Parker tonight at Red Ginger. It was pretty good. We got some sushi and a bunch of food, and it was way too much food. I'm excited to eat my leftovers tomorrow, though. Then we went to Yogurtland cause Connor wanted some "ice cream."
Soon after I got home, Bryant came over and we watched the movie "2012" just for kicks.
Goodnight.

Cutest baby Parker ever.
Yummy food.
Stupidest fortune.
Like 6 different flavors and a million different toppings because I'm indecisive.
Late night picture.

day354.

I had my first post-operation appointment for my right foot today, so it was my first time getting out of the house since Friday. Unlike last time, I was brave enough to actually look at my foot the whole time. It was so gross. It's straighter than my other foot turned out though, so that's good. My dad took me to Iceberg to get some fries after, and I saw Bryant through the drive thru window. He came over and said hi :)
Other than that, my day was spent on the couch. Bryant came over of course. We rented Total Recall and we don't know how it ended because we fell asleep. I guess I'll have to look it up online unless I want to try watching it again.

Daylight wooo.
Told you it is disgusting.

day353.

This is the stupidest worst day ever. I got a headache last night and I still had it when I woke up, and I still have it now. It hasn't gone away all day, making it impossible for me to feel like doing anything. I don't feel good at all. I tried knitting again and I just don't get it and so I'm frustrated and all I want to do is sleep.
Oh and Chase sucks.

day352.

Sufjan Stevens has the best Christmas albums. Oh my gosh. Also Bright Eyes, of course. And my sister has good stuff.
And I have discovered so many new musics in the past couple days, I'm seriously so giddy over it.
It's been an absolutely fantastic day.
Even though I slept horribly last night.
I bathed and washed my hair, and I feel amazing! I even put some makeup on! Austin brought me two books. "A Farewell to Arms" by Ernest Hemingway, and " Watership Down" by Richard Adams. I've never been so excited to read some books in my life.
He also brought me a single red rose. And a candy bar. Sweetest friend in the world. I know I've mentioned that several times. I've never had a friend more thoughtful than Austin Paxman. Ever.
Did I mention the other day that my painting came from New York?
I saw Desi's friends Gabby and Rachel today. I just love everyone.
Bryant just brought me an Oreo shake from Iceberg :) He dropped it off on his way to FHE, along with a soft little stuffed monkey! Ah!!!

Well this is an 8.5 x 11 inch painting Ryan Haugsjaa of New York did for me :) I now have the original to hang in my room!
A couple previews from Thursday's shoot. I love the location.
