Once again.

First of all, Alex completely left me hanging last night. He had texted me first and said he wanted to see me, even if it meant only coming by to say hi, and a whole bunch of stuff like that. I told him he could come hang out with me and my roommates and he said "For sure." Then later I invited him to a movie, he asked what time, and after I told him the time, never heard from him. So this morning I waited for his excuse but I never got one. Still haven't heard from him at all.

Oh and last night at 12:30 a.m. I got a call from another guy, and I totally called him out on his booty call attempt and hung up. Sheesh.

Went to the gym for the fifth time in a row this week. Go me! I think I'll take Saturday and Sunday off.

Oh, so we got a note on our door the other day saying our water would be turned off at 10:00 am for approximately one hour. So, Melinda and I went to the gym around 10 on purpose, so that by the time we got back, we could shower. So we get home and I turn on the faucet and wash a couple dishes and I'm thinking, oh great, it's already back on. But a few minutes later it was off! Meaning those buggers turned it off an hour and a half after they said they would. And I had lunch plans at 1:00, so I didn't get to shower, because it was still off by the time I left for lunch. Ugh.

Anyway, I met Darren and his friend Dan at Durango's. Woah. Triple D. Darren bought our lunch, he is the best. We ate and then started making the schedule for the filming of my music video. I even came up with a good idea for one more scene. I'm super excited! It's going to be a blast!

When I got home I didn't do much, just kind of hung out. Then later I went to Great Clips to get my bangs cut by Desi. Much needed. I went home, and then Melinda came home too. Carissa was already there. We all sat in Carissa's room and watched Pretty Little Liars for the longest time. Then I realized I misesd my family, so after 9 pm I drove to their house and hung out for about an hour and a half. That was happy. I got to talk with my parents, Kirsten, Ben, and kind of Desi and Tasha. I also played for them the song I wrote this week. I really like it.

I went home, Melinda and I put in the movie Leap Year, and then she fell asleep. After it was over, I went to my room to bed.

New beginning.

Anyway, today I went to the gym with Melinda AND Carissa. Carissa doesn't have a pass, but Melinda has the special one that allows her to bring someone with her whenever. It was a good workout today.

Then we went home, and Melinda and I both made lunch for ourselves. Then I got ready and came here to work. It's sooo slow still. Lovin' it. Just watching New Girl and browsing the internet aimlessly all day! Woo!

Tonight I hope I can get some recording in... and Alex might come over. And my roommates and I need to hang stuff up in our living rooms.

Oh and I sort of quit Pangea today.

Coconut milk.

Melinda and I went to the gym together, then we went to Smith's and the Bread Store. I decided to buy coconut milk to see if I like it. And freak it's delicious. I wish it weren't more than twice as expensive as regular milk, but, I'm going to try drinking it instead of cow's milk. Because after everything people have said to convince me not to drink it, well, I'm pretty convinced.

I finished hanging up the rest of my stuff in my room and then I worked on some songs. I'm not struggling with lyrics at all these days but I'm really struggling on coming up with new melodies and chord progressions... especially since I'm only good at playing about ten chords. I'll keep trying!

Now I'm at work. I don't think I'll go to open mic tonight.

Sushi is tooo good.

I went to the gym, came home and got ready, then I went to The Hope Chest for the end of the month sale. My mom and Kirsten and her boys came too. I got a shirt and a clock and a plate. Kirsten bought a chair, and it wouldn't fit in my mom's car or mine, so we carried it around the corner to my dad's office.

I went home, and then my roommates and I went to Red Ginger. Carissa didn't order or eat anything, I don't know why she wanted to come but oh well. Melinda and I each got two sushi rolls and then split a giant pile of rice. Sooo much food. I could eat sushi every day but it's probably not very good for me. Anyway.

I went home and just relaxed. Then I went to band practice, but Thom and Isaac weren't there so it was kind of pointless.

Then my roommates and I watched The Lucky One cause I hadn't seen it yet.

Golden Corral.

I woke up and went to the gym and laid out by the pool again. I'm kind of getting frustrated because I feel like running isn't getting any easier for me, like I'm not getting in better shape even a tiny bit. Oh well, gotta try harder I guess.

Work was soooo slow today. Probably the slowest it's been while I've been working. I'm talking 7 plus minutes between calls, so lots of movie watching time. However, it made the shift go by super slow.

But after work I came home and got ready to go to Golden Corral with Melinda. We met McKayle, Blair, and his friend Brendan there. I was so excited to eat aaallll the food. But it's funny, you can be so hungry or craving something so much, but after you eat, you don't even care about it anymore. That should be part of my motivation for eating healthier. The satisfaction you get by eating unhealthy foods you're craving doesn't last long enough for it to be worth it.

Anyway. Then we watched The Amazing Spiderman, with Carissa too, and toward the end Ty came over. Hadn't seen that guy in weeks. Sure missed him!

Grandma's 89th Birthday.

I went to church with my roommates and we actually made friends with some of the people in our new ward. They're pretty nice.

Then my family picked me up and we all went to Cedar City to celebrate my grandma's birthday. We ate so much yummy food and played in the backyard. It was a good time :)

Later at night, I went with Melinda and Carissa to hang out with three boys from up north. We just sat in their living room and talked for a while, it was chill.

Wedding.

Alex picked me up and took me to breakfast at the Black Bear Diner. Actually, by the time we started eating, it was past noon. But still, it was breakfast food. Oh man I felt so lazy today. But he dropped me off back at home and I started to get ready for Tyson and Natalie's wedding. I was pretty stressed but excited at the same time.

I drove to Tyson's house to pick him up, because I had asked to rent his PA system and have him come set it up for me. We managed to fit everything into my car! We set up at the wedding and I started playing. It was way fun! So many nice people came up to me while I was playing and told me I was doing a good job or that I have a pretty voice. It was nice to hear from strangers, especially since the reception wasn't about me at all.

Tyson and Natalie weren't planning on doing a "first dance" thing, so I didn't have any specific song learned for that. And when I thought I was done playing, I sat down and ate a cupcake. But then everyone urged them to dance, and so I had to sing one more song after eating that dang cupcake. Haha never again. It was a really cool experience for me though, to sing while two people shared their first dance as a married couple. I really enjoyed it.

My parents were invited to the wedding too, so they came for most of it and sat near me, which made me feel more comfortable. Love them.

After we packed up and left, I helped Tyson unload everything at his house. Then I stuck around and we sat on the grass outside his house for about an hour just talking. Actually it was mostly me listening to him talk, because I was fascinated with his intellect or whatever you want to call it. I seriously know the coolest people. Anyway.

Melinda came home from Salt Lake tonight and I am sooo glad she's back.

Fast and Furious.

I went to the gym, laid out by the pool, actually got into the pool, and then got ready for the day. I went with my mom, Kirsten, Connor, and Parker to go shopping. I got some cute new shoes for $5!

I had dinner with my family, then Blair texted me. So I went to his house, and then he drove us to Nielsen's to get frozen custard. We had time to kill so we ran to Best Buy to tinker around for a minute. After that we went to Stadium 10 to see the new Fast and Furious movie. It was fairly entertaining.

I got home a little after midnight and was just chillin by myself when Alex called me. So he picked me up and took me to his parent's house, and we went hot tubbing in their backyard overlooking the city from his huge house. It was super nice. At one point, we jumped in the pool. When I jumped in, I screamed (cause that's just what I do) and because of this, his big friendly dog jumped in after me, Alex said it was to save me because I screamed. Oh my gosh I love animals.

Yeah, they still sell these things. For forty bucks.

And apparently these, too. Holy crap.

John Houston.

Today was long but awesome.

I got up early-ish and drove to Thom's house to pick up him, Isaac, and Jeff. We drove to Hurricane together, where we met Kyle and Tyson. The six of us spent the entire day in John Houston's recording studio to record two songs. I only sang a small part in one of them, so I sat in a chair most of the day doing nothing, but really it was fine. I volunteered to leave to pick up lunch halfway through just to get out. And it was slightly stressful handling money and picking up food for five guys.

After we got back to St. George and I dropped off the guys, I drove straight to my parent's house. Kirsten and Ben were finally back from California with Connor and Parker, and I couldn't wait to see them! I made brownies. My mom, Kirsten and I went to Ulta together. It was fun.

I went to the gym again today woo! Then I went to Smith's and got so much healthy food.

I finally went to the pool that is 10 yards from my doorway and laid next to it to work on my tan. I have yet to go swimming in it, though.

I showered and got ready, made a delicious lunch, and then my mom came and said hi for a couple minutes before I left for work.

Tonight we're having an extra band practice to get ready for our recording session tomorrow! So excited!

Sunrise.

My friend David asked me to watch the sunrise with him, so I got up before six to have time to get ready(ish) and drive to his house before the sun came up. We walked somewhere in the middle of the red sand and lava rocks and watched it. It was pretty nice.

Then I went to the gym.

Then I met my mom and dad and Des at Taco Time for lunch. Then my mom and Des and I went to TJ Maxx and to Kohl's. I got a new throw blanket, it's really cute. But that was it! Thanks, mom :)

I went home and took the most sleepy dreamy relaxy nap ever. It was awesome.

I woke up, had some dinner, then went to band practice. We spent the whole time filming our Kick Starter video with the help of Jeremy Carpenter. I was there for almost three hours but it was way fun.

I set up a curtain in the corner of my teeny tiny room so that I have a space to record. I attempted some more vocals, and I'm hoping they work. Ugh. It's so hard to record myself. I wish Chase lived here. :(

And now I'm just at work. My life is so boring.

Church church church.

I went to my family's ward today to hear Tasha speak.

Then, I went with Carissa to our ward. Melinda is out of town. Sigh.
I want new friends in my new ward.

After church I went home and took a nap.

Then I went to my parent's and we had lasagna and I hung out and made cookies and stuff.

Paranormal.

My roommates and I went to Costa Vida and got food. It was sooo good.

Then I went to work.

Then Stephen came over and we got Dominos pizza and then we watched a movie and he went home.

The Warehouse.

I woke up before 6:00 a.m. and I couldn't fall back asleep so at 7:30 I went to the gym for about half an hour. I thought I would have lots of energry after that and get stuff done but I didn't. I went and laid in my room for a few hours until my mom called me and told me to get ready.

I met her and went to the What Women Want expo with her. Kirsten had a booth for Bensten Portrait Couture, so we were visiting with her. My mom bought a cute shirt for me. It's funny how much she likes to buy things for me. Thanks, mommy :)

Then we went and got food from Jack in the Box, and she took me back to my car. I went and hung out with my dad and the babies for a while. They're so much fun. I love playing with Connor, he is so smart and so funny. So is Parker. They're both the cutest.

Then I went home and sat in my room and played guitar forever. Melinda and Carissa were helping me think of songs to play at the wedding next week.

Melinda and I went to Frost Top and got glaciers and stuff. Yummmm.

Then I got ready and went to the warehouse at 7:00 to prepare for the show. We practiced a bit, people started showing up, so I opened up with three of my songs. Then Alec and Thom sang three songs. Then Pangea got up. I sang three songs with them, but they probably sang a total of about... ten? I just love playing with them. They're the best. And all my friends there were the best. Everyone... is just the best.

After the show was over, we went home and watched Rise of the Guardians. So good.

Sleeping in.

I really need to start getting up before eleven. Especially on days like this where I have work at two, because I don't do anything but go to work.

Well, I did go to the post office. I mailed a CD to a fan in Spain :)

And after work I have band practice.

They.

Today I pretty much finished my room. I hung up a bunch of stuff, got everything put away, and now all I have to do is hang up my tapestry and my lights. That won't be too hard. And then we have to hang stuff up in our living rooms and kitchen, but we're pretty much settled. Took long enough!

I also finished drawing on some shoes for Devon. I'll try to post pictures later.

I was so freaking hungry at work, I went home and made chicken, rice, and broccoli. Then Dallas called and invited Melinda and I over to watch a scary movie with he and Blair. It wasn't that scary but it was fun, love those guys.

Snow cone!

Today I went with Melinda to the post office and I finally sent a CD to Jamie Tucker. He asked for it about two months ago... ooops.

Then we went to Swig, and I got my first snow cone this summer! Mmmm pina colada. Except I probably shouldn't have too many. And I'm trying to wean myself off of soda again... ugh. It's just so good. But it's really not. You just think it is when you're not drinking it. And then you drink it and you regret it. It's quite the painful little cycle.

Recording alone.

Today after work, Melinda and I went to Red Ginger to get some sushi. We hadn't had sushi for a while and it was sooo good. We also got a giant pile of rice and I'm pretty sure I could eat rice every day and still love it.

Then, I went to a church and tried recording myself. I am not used to recording myself, and I'm going to have to try to do it somewhere else, because it was too reverby in there. I'm recording vocals for a couple other artists out of town and out of state. It's fun stuff :) But I really miss Chase.

Mother's Day.

I went to church with my family today because it's Mother's day.

Then I went home to get ready to go to Cedar.

I went back to my parent's house, and we all took a nap, and then we all went to Cedar City together. My grandma lives there, most of my family does actually, so that's where we go on family holidays.

We spent most of the day in the backyard playing with puppies and talking and eating.

We got home later at night. Andrew came to my house and we hung out a little before I went to sleep.

In Time.

Melinda and I went to the gym today. Then I showered and curled my hair and tried to do a little more organizing in my room but really I didn't get much done before work.

After work I went home. Melinda and Carissa went to hang out with some boys from up north, and I waited for Andrew to come over. When he got there, we went for a walk. Then we came back and were talking when Melinda and Carissa came home with their boys. We moved the other couch downstairs, got comfy, and watched a movie. In Time. I had already seen it but I love that movie. It's so unique.

Someone else's nostalgia.

This sucks... I can't remember my days because I didn't blog for five days!

I do remember that tonight, Andrew came over. He and Carissa and I went to Panda Express to get food, and after that we went to Chris Bringhurst's house with a bunch of people. All these friends that went to high school together were watching old videos they made up to ten years ago. It was pretty entertaining.

I saw Parker today! If this isn't the sweetest picture in the world, I don't know what is.

The Great Gatsby.

Tonight after I got off work, I picked up Blair and we went to buy movie tickets for tonight. Then we stopped and ate at Chick-fil-a. Mmmm I love that food so much. I'm glad we have one here!

Then later, Melinda and I got ready and met Blair, Dallas, and McKayle at the movie theater to see The Great Gatsby. Dallas and McKayle were dressed up like from the 20s and they looked adorable. I don't have any 20s clothes, but I can finally wear tallish heels now!

It was a pretty alright movie.

Rock Climbing.

I got up and showered and went grocery shopping. Then, Andrew picked me up. We picked up Lucas too, and went over by Green Valley Spa. I was pretty nervous to rock climb for my first time. But it was lots of fun! I made it to the top of two climbs!

Then I came home and got ready for work, and I'm leaving soon, thank goodness.

My plans for tonight are up in the air. I kind of want some time to myself.

Lucas! 

Melinda and I finished up everything at the old place, took our keys back and such. Then a guy came over to our new place to put fans downstairs. Did I mention it flooded a bit of the carpet last night? It's not too bad but now we have to have these fans running constantly for 48 hours or something.

Well, at 1:00, Sam Pace picked me up and took me to Breakfast at Tifiny's for lunch. It was sooo good. I hadn't been since Kirsten and Ben stopped working there. We had a really great time :)

Then at 4:10, my roommates and I went to see the Host at the Main Street Theater. It was alright. I like movies no matter what, pretty much.

At 7:00, I went to band practice. I sat there most of the time, kinda irritated by that fact, but they added me into another song and it was fun.

Then I went to Devon's house where my roommates already were, and he and Beau fed us and some other guys some really good salad and chicken. Then we got to try their home made ice cream. Gosh it was a wonderful meal! We have such cool friends.

We then played a couple games, and I made friends with a new guy named Andrew. He actually went to the same high school as me, he just graduated before I became a sophomore so I never knew him. Anyway, he got my number from Beau and texted me and invited me to go rock climbing tomorrow!

Four nights in different beds.

We woke up, and Blair and Dallas weren't in the room anymore, and we left.

Melinda and I went to the gym. Then I went to my parent's to try to get some of my pots and pans that I haven't needed - cause Katlyn had so many - but I couldn't find where my bins were and no one was home to help me.

So I went home, then Sarah came over to see my new place and say hi on her way out of town. And Melinda and I had chocolate chip pancakes finally mmmm.

Now I'm at work. I heard thunder booming and rain pouring but I think it's stopped now. I can't wait to go home and eat and continute organizing stuff. I hope to be done in a few days.

Creepiest Sunday.

Melinda and I went to our new ward for the first time today. Our church is at 1:00, which sucks, but for Summer I guess it's nice. And our ward seems pretty cool, almost full of people I don't know. I like that.

After church I went to my parent's to have dinner. Des, Tash, Connor, and I went for a drive for fun too. Then I got invited to go to the fireside with this guy named Alex, but when I got there it was over. I guess we both forgot it started at 6:00 this week and not 7:00. So I went home and unpacked some more stuff instead.

So, Melinda and I were in our basement living room and we got talking about scary movies and stuff. So we were in a kinda jumpy mood you could say. Then I got up and saw something in our vent that's on the top of the wall. I said, "What's in our vent?" and we both went to look and it appears to be the back of a red playing card. It looks like someone just slid it in there. Then I saw something on the other side, another sort of card that looks like it couldn't have just been slid in there, like someone must've taken off the vent plate to get it in there.

Melinda got her screw driver and was trying to unscrew the vent plate so that we could get the cards out, mostly just cause they were bugging us. The plate woudn't budge easily though, and Melinda was afraid if she pulled too hard the paint would rip off. So she stuck the screw driver in the slats and started moving it around. Suddenly, a big thing of hair popped out. Blonde hair. Now, we have vents on the floor upstairs, so we thought maybe hair goes in those and has to end up somewhere, and maybe that's where it goes. But then the hair would be in a scraggly wad or bunch, right? And it wasn't. It was perfectly laid out, a whole lock of hair.

So then we were really creeped out and stepped back. And then it was almost midnight, so we left and went to Denny's. And while we were there, our imaginations ran wild. Like what if there's a body in our wall?! Or maybe it's just a doll. Or maybe someone did that trying to be funny. Anyway, we're silly.

We went home and called Dallas to see if he would come over, but he told us to just come spend the night there. We are crazy. We went and slept on his and Blair's couch.

My favorite thing.

Cleaning day.

Carissa and I got up and headed over to our old apartment at about 8:30. We stopped and got breakfast burritos at Alberto's and drinks. Melinda wasn't there, she was saying bye to her family. Carissa and I cleaned the bedrooms and bathrooms and then took the rest of the stuff over to our new apartment.

Melinda came a little later and finished up most of the stuff we hadn't done, but we left some for Katlyn to do, because a bunch of her stuff was left in the apartment. I'm so glad that's over. So glad to be rid of that nasty blue carpet and the ugly walls and the dim lights and the small amounts of natural light. I just didn't realize how much I hated that house until we started talking about moving out.

I love our new apartment! The bedrooms are smaller, and so are the closets in them. And we don't have a coat or linen closet. So it's kind of hard. BUT we do have two living rooms, a more open kitchen, and a pool. So I can't really complain. We're making it work.

Now I'm at work. Melinda's family was going to stay another day, but stuff came up so they left this morning. So they have an already paid for night at their condo, so we're going to go spend the night and invite people over maybe woo!

I promise I will post lots of pictures when everything is put away and organized and decorated!

Moving day.

Today was graduation at Dixie, so I went and watched Melinda walk and receive her degree. Then, her family invited me to lunch at Chili's and bought my food! :)

Then it was finally time to go sign our contract and get our keys. Yippee!

We spent the whole afternoon moving furniture and big boxes across town. We had the help of Beau Stucki, his friend Eric Gish, and his other friend Lance, Dallas, and our neighbor Dallas too. Oh, and of course my dad with his trailer. And later, Melinda's family showed up with their trailer and then Carissa's parents were there to help, too. It was a long, stressful process.

I got to take a break and go see Iron Man 3 because Mic Barker had invited me about a week ago. Apparently I missed out on some drama between my roommates and that's okay with me. We got all the big stuff moved and I felt relaxed.. at least a little. Melinda went to stay with her parents at their condo, and Carissa and I spent our first night in our new apartment.

Oh, Iron Man was brilliant. I just love Robert.

Happy birthday, Desi!

So today I went to my family's house for birthday breakfast for Desi. She's 19 today! Then I went home to get ready for the day, and I thought Des would go shopping with us but it ended up just being my mom and I, which was fine. I love shopping with my mom :)

We went to the Hope Chest of course, and I found some cool stuff. Then we went to the DI and I found the best shoes. You just wait til you see them.

We picked up some pizza on our way home and then I had to come to work. Tonight I'll be doing lots of packing and cleaning. Hopefully my roommates and I get lots done.

Last final.

I woke up early ish enough so that I could go to the breakfast for the piano majors at 8:30. We had crepes and breakfast casserole, it was delicious and awesome.

Then I went to the school and did my last final, the music theory project presentation. I signed up to go first and got it over with. Whew. It really wasn't too bad, except having to sit through everyone else's for the next two hours.

And I declinded Celeste's request to accompany for the summer.

Then I went and hung out with Des and my nephews. It was nice to actually spend time with Desi. She's always gone or sleeping.

Then it was work time.

And as soon as I got off I ran to Smith's to buy some chips, to Laney's house to pick her up, then to the party woooo! It was way fun. I'm not even going to try to describe the games we played, but if you know them, you know they're awesome and funny. We played the "Korean game" and "Body body body!" It was great fun. Melinda and Carissa showed up right as we started the second game. There were lots of people there including Beau, Isaac and his wife Brooke, Justin and his wife Katie, Jeff and his wife Kristen, Trae, Natalie, Conner, Ryan, Troy, Taylor Chew, Danni, Celia, Anne, etc.
